It's a pleasure to begin our new week with Egypt-born Barcelona-based Raxon as he returns to Maceo Plex's Ellum Audio with another cosmically minded techno EP from which we feature today's edgy broken beat bomb, Input Robot.

Raxon is at the forefront of the melodic techno scene thanks to always well-designed sounds on Diynamic, Kompakt, Cocoon and more. As a DJ, too, he explores an interplanetary sound that has seen him on the billing at influential festivals and clubs worldwide, from DGTL to Resistance Ibiza at Privilege.

He opens this one with the superb 'Input Robot,' a jostling broken techno groove laced up with sleek cosmic chords. Alien life forms live between the beats, and the elastic bass keeps you moving as the track rolls on through a turbulent night sky.

Then comes 'Mantis,' a terrifically twitchy and astral track. Robot vocals are stitched into the mix with turbo-charged synths and a looping bassline over heavy drums. It's the sound of intergalactic warfare with a real sense of electronic funk and cinematic design.

The ‘Input Robot EP’ is another innovative techno exploration from Raxon.

'Drumcomplex teams up with Frank Sonic for a welcome return to OFF Recordings.

'The Mustang‘ opens the EP with a massive rolling groove, topped by several layers of energetic synth stabs, building towards an epic break. 'The Bronco‘ starts out with a more minimalistic groove, but then raises the intensity with a mental synth line, peaking in a massive crescendo of distorted hooks.

Finally, Juliet Fox delivers a slamming remix, speeding the BPM up and streamlining the beat even more.'

Victor Fernandez es uno de los nombres que más expectación generan actualmente en el panorama techno español. El joven barcelonés de 25 años ya ha dejado de ser ese niño prometedor que debutaba en clubs como Moog, Razzmatazz o BeCool con tan solo 18 años. 

Se curtió a base de sets extendidos y compartiendo cartel en noches míticas junto a artistas de la talla de Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Jeff Mills y, un largo etcétera de nombres grabados a fuego en la historia del techno.

Su talento y su innegable conexión con el público le han llevado ya a los clubs y eventos más punteros de España: INPUT, Brunch, Nitsa, Fabrik o Family Club ya le han bailado. Actualmente, es una de las caras visibles del templo más icónico del techno en España: Florida 135. Sin embargo, nuestras fronteras no son su límite. Ya le hemos visto actuar en diversas ocasiones en Portugal, Italia e incluso en la mismísima meca de la electrónica: Berlín.

Para esta ocasión, Victor Fernandez nos presenta su nuevo trabajo con el que se estrena en Suara Music, “The Beginning Of The End”. 

“The Beginning Of The End”, incluido en el segundo VVAA de Suara, Metaroots, es un track cargado de energía con pinceladas de techno “old school” y stabs al estilo Detroit.
