A career spent DJing across the globe was the catalyst for Damian Lazarus’s latest project – Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons. Masterminded by Lazarus the album brings together a wide assortment of vocalists, collaborators and players from around the world. Taking inspiration from Lazarus's Lazpod series, Get Lost events and Day Zero festival in Mexico, this is music for deserts, jungles and sunrises.

Kicking off in LA, Lazarus was joined at the production controls by James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco, Arctic Monkeys, Florence) as the album moved to London, and then final recording sessions completed in Mexico . The resulting album, ‘Message From the Other Side’, is a revelation. It runs the gamut from the wonderful Qawwali-flavoured techno of last year’s alternative dance hit ‘Lovers Eyes (Mohe Pi Ki Najariya)’ to the African-tinged house of ‘Sacred Dance of the Demon’, dense dark ambient of ‘Inner Core’, and the bubbling depths of forthcoming single Vermillion, this is a rich and ambitious album. Lazarus brought together the widest range of musicians to achieve his goals. Initially there was Moses Sumney, an LA singer-songwriter and guitarist whose vocals light up the dynamic deep house groove of ‘Vermillion’, and the epic closing number, ‘Tangled Web’. Lazarus’s long-standing friend and associate Ali Love, contributes vocals to the soulful groove of ‘We Will Return’. Other collaborations came from further afield. Hossam Ramzy, an Egyptian master- percussionist, most famous for his work on Jimmy Page and Robert Plant’s ‘No Quarter’ album laid down the amazing rhythm tracks for the Ancient Moons. ELEW (Eric Lewis), an American jazz pianist played a ‘treated piano’ in an unexpected, experimental way. Lazarus and Ford turned to Andrew Waterworth, double bassist with the acclaimed Penguin Café for the album’s lush string arrangements courtesy of Mexico’s Yucatan Symphony Orchestra.

Already one of the secret weapons of the last few months, 'Pentimento' by Yotam Avni gets an official release on Rebirth this summer.
One of the most prominent and exciting figures to emerge from Israel in recent years, Yotam is an accomplished producer, in-demand remixer and versatile DJ. 
His music career began early on, by 19 years old he compiled and produced expermential music for Modern Ballet, while working as a Music Journalist and  holding a DJ Residency at Tel-Aviv's leading club nights. He's back catalogue releases nowdays offers a wide musical range from Abstract Electronica to Soulful House all the way to Detroit Techno, releasing on labels like Ovum, Stroboscopic Artefacts and Be As One ! 
'Pentimento' is a strong tribal track, with a bassline and a synth lead that sounds huge everytime we play it. The track gets a brand new reinterpretation from one of our heroes, Joaquin Joe Claussell, who adds some cosmic and ethereal sounds to the african atmosphere of the original, turning out another epic journey !

Sven Väth's playful 1986 record has gotten a dance-floor-ready makeover from Flügel, driven by a relentless kick liable to give even the most hardened of Berghain’s dancers cardiac arrest and a rolling bass line that you can’t help but get a bit weird to. 

Throw Roman’s characteristically glitchy synths and spacey keys into the mix and this one is a proper intergalactic journey into whatever stratosphere it is that this man occupies. Check it out below.

In the new edition of Uxoa Dutxa Elite the boss Di Rugerio is back presenting his new sonorous material called Aeternis in conjunction with his new musical project Realm Of Chaos, likewise including two excellent remixes by the german Rauschhaus and the spanish Th Moy.

Aeternis is a deeply melodic theme, an arpeggio arises in sequence from the beginning adding new percussive elements and synthesizers that give support to the main melody that reaches the climax in the break with great emotion and that takes us to an abstract journey of thoughts about our ephemeral existence. 

Followed by the remix of Rauschhaus, leading off with an energetic and cheerful battery where synths are quickly merged in the background and with the original melody being reinterpreted more hypnotic and spatial maintaining the feeling and emotion in the break, a great track for the dance floor. 

And finally, Th Moy give us a real musical jewel starting up in a clean way with percussions, synthesizers and with a new and powerful melody in the bass with sounds taken from the Moog then the magic arises with the main melody but with ethereal sounds, in the first break a hypnotic arpeggio emerges and together with the battery and previous melodies the spanish musician raises us to a state of ecstasy until the second break resulting a sublime reinterpretation masterpiece.

beGun from Barcelona lands in Sincopat putting the focus on the Kiribati islands (Pacific Ocean) as the next destination in this particular electronic music journey. This new work presents two tracks whose names, Kuria and Vostok, correspond to the two most remote capitals of the insular complex and also two of the places that are suffering the most from global warming, and may disappear in the coming decades because of the continuous rise in sea level. In the words of the same producer:

"The goal of aiming at that inhospitable place to a musical level is to be able to contribute my part in the awareness of the effects of climate change, because it would be very unfortunate that in 10 years those two songs are still there while the two towns who gave their names have disappeared from the map”.

With this EP, beGun broadens its own musical spectrum without neglecting its recognized and unique creative personality: always elegant, landscaping and porous in the face of ethnic references through the use of local folk instruments combined with complex rhythms, penetrating basses and atmospheres charged of melancholia. For the remixes, AFFKT gives his own vision of Kuria giving it more musicality with thicker and live synths. For the part we welcome the duo Brigado Crew, who offers a more massive Deep House remix but with a breakdown clearly emotional and vibrant.

After successful collaborations on labels such as DIYNAMIC Argentinian producer duo Brigado Crew and Londoner Crisstiano continue to deliver the heat on Chapter 24. The trio's latest EP 'Pangea', already supported by Tale Of Us, is a manifestation of musical bliss whether in the club or open-air festival context. 'Pangea' altogether comes with three original takes, the EP's title track plus 'Pannotia' and 'Rodinia', and a remix from Greek House music vet Thodoris Triantifillou, whose work follows a more organic approach as he chose to pick out the original synth line from the track and interweaved it with addictive drums as well as a memorable sub. As a result Thodoris Triantifillou's remix develops a mystical tone that drags one into the overall 'drummatic' vibe of his approach as the synth line and the amount of percussive elements seems to be just right to express their heartly relationship with the music being the winner.

Brigado Crew & Crisstiano's EP 'Pangea' will be released on Chapter 24 on June 14th, 2019.
