For the 19th ATLANT opus we head to Italy as our grand tour traverses the southern Apulia region via Toscana to you bring Glowal, the exciting brainchild of Fabio Giannelli & Alessandro Gasperini. Glowal present an uncompromising underground sound, with nods to techno but still with a big focus on melodic elements to create the exciting sounds of tomorrow.

Lead cut ‘Divisions Control’ starts with a familiar 4/4 beat lulling you into a false sense of security as Glowal take you on a thrilling ride into unchartered waters. Early on the track thrashes and wrestles with you, as floating arp lines and intermittent explosions of sub-bass give the sense that something truly special is to come. From nowhere the most beautiful celestial synth lines fill the room with warmth and a sense of spiritually, only for you to be shaken out of your brief trance to seek cover as the thunderous overhead technoid attack continues.

By contrast devastating stomper ‘Colony’ takes aim firmly at the dance-floor with a tribal influenced groove and infectious narrative about the ‘system’ that, once heard, will be firmly implanted in your memory. Expect to hear this one all summer long!

This pair of tracks have been stealthy little weapons in ATLANT impresario BOg’s record box ever since we received the unmastered demos back in February. The music was signed on first play and has formed an integral part of BOg’s sets across the globe, getting a massive crowd reaction every time. Now the secret is out there.

Glowal

Glowal is a new project by Fabio Giannelli & Alessandro Gasperini. The duo first appeared earlier this year on Suara’s Headliners of Tomorrow with ‘Germinal’. This was followed up recently as ‘Flowers On Tears’ graced the Siamese Anthology II.

Fabio has released music this past decade on the likes of Innvervisions, Suara, Get Physical, Kindisch and Off Recordings. Alessandro will be familiar under his Kedra identity, with his 2016 maiden outing on Perpetualis being when the pair first crossed paths musically. Tracks on the likes of Nature Viva and Stil Vor Talent soon followed.

Welcome back, Mr. Markus Homm! After his acclaimed Hive Audio label debut dubbed the „My Lead EP“ the Berlin-based Romanian with a more than a decade spanning release history is making a return with his new four track piece – the „Amour Fou EP“.

Going in head over heels with the title cut „Amour Fou“ it is pretty obvious why Markus Homm's musical vision has become a staple on dancefloors worldwide – and this track is no exception to the norm. Take a pounding Tech foundation, sharp, distinct hi-hats and a blurred out, melodic, yet mystical atmosphere featuring several intertwined harmonic layers, stir the mix expertly in the studio and you'll end up with a timeless dancefloor tool that's about to resonate with punters and DJ's from a wide range of sub- and microgenres within the wide spectrum of dancefloor-focused electronic music.

In for a remix is Swiss producer duo Animal Trainer who is taking on „Amour Four“ in his revamp version, slowing down the tempo to create a highly seductive groove monster which goes even deeper with its well percussive attitude and somewhat Arab / Oriental / Balearic plucked string motif alongside twisted, warped non-vocalisms and a large scale, drum roll driven breakdown paving the way for the playful, yet pretty psychedelic main part which is about to stand out in every open air festival set ever for a reason.

Furthermore „Pamona“ sees Markus Homm on a stomping, stripped down House tip, fusing minimalist percussions with an ever rolling low end groove alongside deep and sexy, steadily morphing pads evoking memories both of Motor City Detroit as well as floating early 90s Intelligent Techno and therefore falling together nicely to create a positive playful cut for the wee hours in intimate electronic music settings.

Finally „Touch“ weighs in a solid, highly captivating TechHouse vibe, once again rolling out a hefty low-end groove paired with classic, precisely sculpted stabs, Trance-infused build-ups, more atmospheric synth mysticism and an overall timelessness that is innate to Markus Homm's trademark  production style.
