The group described how Moloko’s The Time Is Now inspired them, stating: “We had the words running through our minds for a few weeks, just thinking about where they took us. It sparked us into writing Above. All the best love songs have a shot of poison. Musically, we were back at Patrick Adams meets Basic Channel.” It’s a blissful five-minute offering, made up of rounded percussion and a warming underlying groove. Gentle kick-hat combos make up the overarching rhythm, whilst soothing vocals accentuate the track’s reflective nature. Dreamy chords soon meander into rolling key chimes to form an emotive, feel-good cut.

@sonar-kollektiv have just re-released @jazzanova's classic album from 2008 "Of All The Things". To celebrate they asked brand new family member @iamfeiertag to remix one of the key tracks from the album Little Bird ahead of the release of his own single "Black Diamonds & Pearls" on Nov 15th. 

Feiertag has completely flipped the track and he result is an instant classic, Deep brooding and moody it's an electronic masterpiece from the broken beats and filtered drums through the deep and powerful bass synths. Improvisation is the core of Bugge Wesseltoft's and Henrik Schwarz's collaboration. Technology and the joy of playing often meet and beautiful creations are formed somewhere between machine and human, balancing like a mobile delicately around a centre.  For "In Spite Of Everything" the duo plays on two opposite grand pianos. One is driven by Wesseltoft's emotional piano playing and the second is a so-called player piano, in which the keys are driven by motors and which Schwarz controls in real time with a computer program written especially for this piece. The program is highly reactive and sensitive, creating a sparkling piano duet of pulsating energy and wild dynamics.
SUNDAY-MUSIC RECORDS & BETWEEN BUTTONS jointly release two versions of this piece. A club version with extra bass, kick drum and strings, which was also heard in Henrik Schwarz's Cercle Liveset and another purely acoustic version, just with the sound of the two grand pianos, recorded during the live concert at Berlin's Radialsystem.
