Matas & Edo Lee - Mimosa

College Music's fifteen track original compilation entitled 'PhonoSynthesis'. The project explores the relationship between sound and nature (Phonograph // Photosynthesis) and releases on 25th October, also featuring the likes of Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Jon Kennedy, Prefuse 73 and lots more. Musically speaking, the project defines as 'Psychedelic Ambient', inspired by the likes of Mort Garson's 'Plantasia' - analogue synthesis interwoven with live, acoustic instrumentation and no drums throughout the entire project. The project begins and ends with solo harp, and in-between the listener is transported on a carefully curated journey through synthesised and acoustic soundscapes alike.

A hidden path opens between cracked walls and rising steam, where dim lights flicker like ghosts in a forgotten alleyway. Messages flicker briefly and fade, leaving ash and silence in iconic places that no longer hold meaning. Abandoned rhythms sway in empty spaces, as dawn arrives without warmth, only pale echoes of what once was.
