they wanna stay together and be free as a bird 
the only thing stopping 'em is a piece of paper
can't cross borders without visa status

the boy was a traveller, most of his life
and he couldn't sit still in a box, so trite
since his family took him around at all costs
the map in his head much bigger than most
something you can't share in a class, of course
he had to find a nest for himself and earn a source
of income that helped him to stay nomadic 
a gypsy if you will the norm is dramatic
no shortage of romantic tales to tell
at a fireplace reminiscin' goin' through hell
and back just to find his own paradise
maybe a paradox but oh well, worth the fight
'cause he found a mate in a girl opposite of him
she only knew of cities illustrated in film
the two became an item and talked about places
he swore to show her 'round to a hundred faces
back pack, duffle bag, instead of suitcases
bought tix for amazing races
snapback, straw hat, shoes without laces
took flicks, breathtaking spaces
so the couple made stacks of albums
and wanted to continue so the natural outcome
would be to live together but now how come
they need to get papers for a country to allow them
