'College Music Presents: Back on Track' is a twenty nine track compilation featuring original music from artists and producers the world over. 'Back on Track' aims to act as a beacon of hope after a tricky few years across the world. College Music Records have carefully selected a wide range of artists to feature on the project, spanning from UK, America, Europe and beyond. The end result is a wide array of uplifting vibes, from instrumental beats and jazzy joints to euphoric vocal breakbeats and lo-fi house, featuring the likes of Tennyson, Cookin Soul, Athletic Progression, L'indécis, edbl and a lot more.

The artwork itself, done by the incredible Doug John Miller (http://instagram.com/dougjohnmiller) reflects the journey from the darker, lockdown days to present day and beyond, where things are looking far brighter. We aimed to represent this positive shift in the music selected within the project, hoping to offer a glimmer of light to people in their dark days.

The project title ' Back on Track' reflects how things have come off the rails in the past few years, but that better times are on the way, and as a collective, we are gradually getting 'Back on Track'.

Ian Ewing, L'indécis & Soul Food Horns - Vilano

Flitz&Suppe and Mr.Käfer unite on this crispy new instrumental “Syzygy”. The two producers created this soothing jam in March 2021, while the weather was awful and the pandemic was raging. Originally meant for a rapper, the tune morphed over time and ended up as this soft, low tempo track full of cloudy pads, strings and horns, all drenched in lush reverb and subtle hints of ping pong delay, evoking mellow and relaxing vibes.

The instruments are symbolizing nature's rebirth and the transition of Seasons. As we are longing for this annual magical phenomenon, the song deliver a much awaited relief. With a joyful upbeat, it's almost like it tells a wonderful story that takes us for a walk in an enchanted forest. This is the perfect track in celebration of the new Spring season to come!

Handbook is a British producer who gained a very loyal and large audience after more than ten years of experience in beat-making. He gets his inspiration from his home, based in York, where he recorded his new EP Fortunate which ‘Barbizon’ is extracted of. It is a cinematic track named after a French city that is known to be the home of pre-impressionist painting. Its uplifting melody feels like flowers blooming, a cosy call for spring.

First up is "Natural Language", a brooding, bass heavy track featuring the stylings of the one and only cumulus frisbee, complete with futuristic synth bleeps and dub style bass. On the B side we have "Ideas" featuring wilf, a beautiful, synth heavy track that reminds us of a crisp Autumn day with leaves blowing in the wind.
