California residents Joe Nora (who has collaborated with Mick Jenkins and Chester Watson) and Sara Kawai (who has collaborated with Miley Cyrus and Medasin) make their Chillhop Music debut with new single "Spykids". Part of our ongoing series, this instrumental hip-hop track blends dreamy harp melodies with earth-shaking 808s, creating a perfect formula for steady bounce. It's both lively and relaxing, hard-hitting yet soothing. The combination feels both serene and powerful at the same time. Kawai's delicate plucks float effortlessly over Nora's drums, resulting in a fresh track full of emotional depth and texture. It’s a welcome introduction into the Chillhop world, one that showcases the pairing's ability to push boundaries while staying true to the chilled-out essence of the genre.
