In what is sure to be the highlight of the well-received podcast series thus far, Axtone Records rounds off 2015 by welcoming owner and talisman Axwell, to the airwaves of ‘Axtone Presents’. Episode fifteen comes alongside Axtone’s tenth anniversary with an accompanying slew of new singles, vinyl, 52 page hardback book, and limited edition box set.

To jumpstart the podcast, Axwell enlists Swedish newcomer Klahr’s rendition of Adrian Lux’s ‘Torn Apart’. Progressing into a selection of influential Trance classics, Axwell evokes the names of artists such as Armand Van Helden, Stardust, and long-time friend Bob Sinclar as inspiration, later citing ‘This Time’ from supergroup Axwell Λ Ingrosso as a personal favourite production.

As it progresses into a 30-minute mix chock-full of infamous Ax edits, listeners and fans alike will notice Axwell’s diverse track selection and appreciation for all things music.

He has come onto our radar with his silky smooth and at times rugged sound that encompasses the best elements of drum & bass, where he takes influence from legends of the genre such as Nu:Tone and Calibre. 

Simon is also a very experienced DJ where he has held down residencies over the years including the mighty Kool FM and now the renowned Rough Tempo where has been for the last 5 years. 

Although he has had releases on other labels in the past, its with Serotone he has chosen to put out his first debut LP and boy are we proud to have him on board. 

Beautiful Sunrise will be released exclusively via Beatport on Friday 3rd of November and general from Friday 17th November.
