Kalaido is the instrumental project of Portland-based composer/producer Phoenix Glendinning. He crafts his melodic, instrumental hip hop sound by blending an array of live instruments, field recordings, and VSTs, drawing on his background in soundtrack music to create original compositions around his beats. ‘Drifting Smoke’ has a breezy atmosphere, with japanese intonations and inspiring nature sounds, This is the first single of his upcoming EP 'View Through the Mist'
