It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear friend, Alexander. 

He was not just a friend to many of us but also a devoted father to two beautiful children and a loving partner to his girlfriend, Sandra. This loss has left a void in our hearts and an immense challenge for his young family.

In memory of Alexander and to support his family during this incredibly difficult time, I have decided to dedicate my latest track, Infinite, to him.

Smeerlapp, a 30-year-old musician and producer from the vibrant city of Hannover, Germany, is a true connoisseur of music's transformative magic. His deep connection with music ignited at the age of 10 when the rhythmic beats of drumsticks first resonated with him, inspired by none other than his own father, a drummer. It was this early influence that set the stage for a lifelong devotion to the art of music.
By the age of 14, he was already strumming the strings of his guitar, adding a new dimension to his musical expression. This rich foundation led him to explore a myriad of musical genres and styles, ultimately defining his distinctive sound and career.
At 20, Smeerlapp embarked on a journey that would see him fall in love with the electrifying genre of Drum & Bass, dedicating a decade to mastering the intricate crafts of music production and DJing. For six years, Smeerlapp has been sharing his knowledge, empowering others to unlock their creativity and find their own unique musical voices.
In addition to his work as a musician, producer, and educator, Smeerlapp has been a mixing and mastering engineer for the past five years. With an impressive portfolio of over 200+ releases under his belt, he has fine-tuned and polished the works of numerous artists, helping them realize their sonic visions.
From the early stages of his production journey, Smeerlapp delved into the harder side of Drum & Bass, a subgenre known as neuro funk. His exploration led to his first releases on prestigious labels such as Hanzom Music and Ram Records, setting the stage for a promising career in the electronic music world.
