Melissa Thomas, also Recognized by her stage name PYRO, originates from the coastal town of Eastbourne, England. With six years of music production experience, she has started to establish her name into the Drum and Bass Scene with a distinctive flair for crafting atmospheric and dramatic DnB tracks.
 
Beyond crafting tracks in the studio, PYRO also showcases her skills as a DJ, seamlessly blending her own compositions, or not with tracks from other artists to create dynamic, dark and euphorically engaging sets, one day aspiring to get debut sets with festivals like Let It Roll, Boomtown and DnB Allstars Fest just to name a few.

PYRO's musical evolution has been shaped by a diverse array of influences (The song that made her fall in love with everything electronic 'Never Count On Me' Haywyre), ranging from the dark, gritty high-energy sounds of Kanine, Sub Focus, Andromedik and A.M.C (to name a few) to the innovative and immersive stylings of Camo & Krooked, Mefjus, Metrik, Flume and more. These artists have not only inspired her sonic palette but have also served as guiding lights in her quest to push the boundaries of her own creativity. Through countless hours spent honing her craft, PYRO has developed a signature style and sound that is both dynamic and immersive, inviting listeners on a journey through pulsating, gritty basslines, ethereal melodies, leads, and electrifying drops.

With a keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment, each track she creates is a testament to her dedication to her craft and her desire to push the limits of her creativity. PYRO continues to push boundaries, both in the studio and behind the decks. As she continues on her musical journey, her impact on the Drum and Bass music scene is sure to grow, hoping to cement her place as a standout artist in the industry one day.
