Creator of fast-paced beats, NORA blends styles with mastery, standing out in the national underground scene and gaining international recognition. Her DJ sets for Boiler Room Hard Dance, NTS, and The Lot Radio, among others, showcase her talent. As a producer, she’s released tracks that caught attention, like the EPs “Miss u Raving” and “JUMP,” mixing genres from Jungle and Breakcore to Hardtechno.
NORA has toured Europe, playing at TRESOR, RSO, OHM Club, C12, and more. She’s also the force behind ARENA, a vibrant underground party in Rio de Janeiro, known for its queer crowd and powerful lineups.

This week on Select, we have Brenda all the way from Colombia. Throughout the past three years, he has galloped through various  sonic territories within the global electronic music scene, establishing himself as a figure that is hard to define and one of the most innovative DJs in the globe. In his selection and mixing style, Brenda embraces the idea of ‘plunder-techno’, a collage of traditional Latin rhythms, encompassing dembow, cumbia, djembe and guaracha,  interspersed with variations of bass music, while incorporating noise textures close to IDM and club music.

For his select set, the Colombia native DJ and producer brings a mix that encapsulates his passion for the multiplicity of latitudes within the global south and its diaspora. He meshes together threads of Mexican tribal, Colombian bailoteo and Andean techno with the emancipated UK bass scene across the globe, playing on the similarities between Latin dembow and the new waves of electronic music from the Middle East region. “It’s an x-ray of my interests, specifically, my fascination with traditional percussion and how they can be employed in electronic music.” Brenda tells SceneNoise.

CDMX-based innovator Lyo XS provides this week's TANK Mix, a bass-heavy excursion through dubstep, touches of Latin club, and hard groove. The producer had the following to say about the inspiration behind the mix.

“I put together this set for one of my favorite parties in CDMX. Even though it wasn’t recorded live, it was designed as a closing set for Lapidación, an iconic party organized by fka phaedra — someone I’ve shared growth and experiences with over the years. I really admire their commitment to building safe, free, and joyful spaces in the city. This set carries that energy: an emotional and danceable journey that celebrates the night, connection, and the ongoing desire to build community through sound.”
