Game Over - I Remember

Indietronica / RetroWave / Future pop prince The Land Below creates a massive drumbeats with a swaying chorus that enters your brain and refuses to leave. The analogue synths comes bursting through in his dark, ghostly electro, the balearic backdrops  clashes against elastic vocals luring you in from where you never want to leave. 

The Land Below were previously a member of the electronica duo Wild at Heart (Kitsuné records). In 2014 he went solo as The Land Below and self released a cover of The Presets - "This boy's in love". It garnered attention from blogs, music press and he was consequently signed by Hybris. After a string of successful singles and EP:s his debut album was released in 2015. In 2017 The Land Belows sophomore album "And You Will Be Fine" was released. During the same year the original score to the independent short movie "Fuckgirls" directed by Saga Becker, was released including all original music by The Land Below.

"Made For You" is the fourth single taken from The Land Belows second album.

Monarch’s been tucked away for a minute now. MYRNE and I have gone back and forth on it, road testing it at shows, and trying out different ideas for a while now. This track brings some of our most signature approaches to producing together. I would consider this next series of releases in whole as sort of my looking back to where my sound has come from and where it’s headed. Both Monarch and this album (to me) is an ending of sorts- a last chapter in a series. This will be my last large body of work that adheres closely to the sound I have developed over the last couple of years. In some ways it represents an apex, and sort of saying goodbye to it- to make room for the next evolution of the project. 

Through the process of putting everything together, I was in somewhat of a nostalgic and dark frame of mind, and I wanted to leverage that mood. I really wanted to reference the kind of imagery, film, TV I have grown up loving- the likes of Ridley Scott, and dystopian anime, like Akira.
