Delivering a riot of attitude and swagger, gutter anthems and punked out indie, Swindon band The Racket are the musical rough diamonds of the local scene. With their own unique brand of scrappy guitar music they are the perfect antidote to the over-produced, auto-tuned music of the mainstream. Funky bass driven rhythms combine with jagged guitar riffs as the backdrop for tracks that are lean, mean, hungry statements of intent. Frontman Plummie writes songs that are powerful and often witty tales about life’s harsher realities and stranger characters and above all a refusal to play by anyone else’s rules.  
Sharing the bill with acts as diverse as Twisted wheel and the reformed Sham 69 as well as their own exciting shows have cemented The Rackets live reputation for delivering live show's that are beautifully chaotic events, like a car crash waiting to happen and always on the edge of melt down.
