Ant J Steep has been a central figure in the Australian underground dance music scene since the late 90's. As a DJ he has been a pioneer in developing the vibrant underground house scene that is now flourishing in his hometown of Melbourne through some important residencies at the cities’ most influential clubs where he would hold his own against some of the world’s most respected DJs.

Beginning his career in the late 90’s spinning a mixture of funk, hip-hop, drum n’ bass, techno and house, Ant developed the ability to cross a variety of styles or hone in on one hypnotic vibe. By the early 2000’s Ant began pushing the underground house sounds that were emerging in Europe and the American West Coast and started putting on his own events, club nights and touring Dj’s from all over the world. He held residencies at some of Melbourne and Sydney's most iconic venues and parties, such as Lounge, Spice, Reckless Republic and Subsonic, but it was his five-year residency at the seminal Honkytonks that really put him on the international map and bookings began flowing in for South America, Europe, and the USA.

As a producer Ant has had his fair share of success. His Little Beasties project found its way into record bags the world over and was even hailed by BBC’s Pete Tong as one of his essential tunes. He has released records on London’s Music For Freaks, Sheffield’s Odori, France’s Tome Bone, Germany’s Morris Audio and Australia’s Future Classic, LightSpeed and Freak Show Disco to name a few. His current psychedelic pop project Fang Jnr is already gaining critical praise for the 2015 album "Dimensioneer's"
