Catalognumber 23 – what else is to say? While we’re feeling the spirit of William S. Burroughs blessing this very vinyl-enigma, &ME went particularly mysterious ways to transcend the category ‘dance track’ for this one.
The meditation through bass had been the major discipline of some of his latest cuts, but what you’ll find on this A-side, one could certainly call the perfection of somnambulistic peaktime-fever. The way he’s kneading the lower frequencies, how he’s channeling the expansion and decay of bass must inevitably lead to some aroused moaning. Good vocal-selection, for that matter! Then there are those tension building synths and a staccato-frenzy in the break that might be the ultimate ecstasy-trigger of the season.
“Locust” on B comes in with some smoothly looped E-guitar-coolness, adding whispering hi-hats and a comparatively rich percussive architecture. But then again: rolling bass barrels like a signature and a defence breaking build up that’s ensued by liberating pressure compensation in mighty breaks. Two demonstrations of understated and sophisticated peaktime-emphasis, so to say. Or differently put: a flawless double-A-side.

Stefano Noferini returns to his own Deeperfect with a stellar release that brings you all the best of what this label keeps airing to the world, encapsulated in two powerful tracks. "Mr. President" EP is the fruit of Noferini's collaboration with Danniel Selfmade, combining the unique style of each of the two producers, adding Noferini's irresistible groove and bright tribal elements to Selfmade's well-curated minimalism. In each of the two tracks you feel the presence of the two men. In "Coconut", it is as if Selfmade dictates the pace, progressing beautifully with his careful choice of each and every sound. They call it the Art of Minimalism. Basti Grub's Skilaro EP on Deeperfect is a masterful expedition towards the unseen borders of sound. It is a heroic attempt to extract the most of every instrument, each sample, and any voice. The talented German carefully selects the tools. He arranges them beautifully in his own original version, and invites two other artists, Leonardo Gonnelli and David Pher to pick them up and build something completely new. Gonnelli's interpretation is a whole revision of the piece: it translates it into an energetic peak-time explosive, loaded with energy and groove. The two David Pher interpretations are set-edging pieces: a remix designed for the perfect warmup, and a sweet after hour sunset revision. Grub spoils us towards the end with an enriched vocal version, featuring Vito and Carry, to complete a perfect package and masterful demonstration of the much an artist can do with very few resources.

Ben Weber from northern Germany is for many years now a permanent feature of the electronic music world. In collabo with Axel Eilers, the productions are reaching peaktime-character. Their first EP ”The Streets“ got published by Oliver Koletzki‘s label ”Light My Fire“, followed by releases on Sincopat, Indiana Tones, as well as many other nameable labels. 
They all had chart rankings at Beatport‘s top 100 in common. As well as they got supported by Artists like Coyu, Nora En Pure, Amine Edge, Giom, Loverdose, The Mekanism, Animal Trailer, Vintage Culture, DBMM, and many more. 
Since 2007 tracks are coming up from the studio in the north heather, so it ain‘t a surprise that the sound reflects their huge experience. Still it is quite surprising that the two of them are always coming up with innovations and experimentations, irrespective of what is trend or not.
Their love and passion about music is what keeps them going.
