This week our Rhythmic Culture podcast series sees a killer mix from Nostro Hood System chief Galtier. Galtier's productions are essentially 'Blade Runner soundtrack with Drums' utilising impactful, theatrical melodic qualities and borrowing heavily from Techno, UK Bass, Percussive Rhythms, Drum & Bass, Dancehall and Ambient, to name but a few. After last year's excellent album 'Pulchra Es Elementis' on Mexican label Infinite Machine, we're more than excited to welcome the Bristol-producer for a 60-minute captivating ride.

Noria Lilt

The wait is finally over and we are beyond thrilled to have our next artist on the series; enter Noria Lilt (*1994, Fribourg, Switzerland). She has been immersed in a musical and cultural environment since her earliest years. Growing up in a musician family and first training as a multimedia designer, she later graduated from the Bern University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Sound Arts.

Heavily influenced by dance music and rave culture, Noria Lilt combines a bursting mix of the most heterogeneous electronic inspirations. From clubs to art centers and other live scenes, her practice oscillates between djing, live, composition and production, audiovisual installations, and multichannel pieces. Her production and composition process tends towards acousmatic and experimental music, with a delicate and unique sound design.
All of these experiences and carefully weighted nuances are on display on her brilliant debut EP “The Insiders of the In-Between” including remixes by MSJY and Atrice on strecke records. 

TRNSTN RADIO co-founder, Kapitel Bollwerk resident DJ, SMEM coordinator: she is an important figure and an active member of Switzerland's cultural, nightlife, and musical scenes. In all her facets, she presents powerful messages and we are ecstatic to find out what is next on her journey.

Tesselation Districts is an extended player of four tracks that oscillate between comprehensible rhythmic patterns and their somewhat uncanny dissolution bridging aesthetics of Steven Porter's as well as Repetition/Distract's compositions for the label.

Black vinyl, limited edition, screenprinted outer sleeve with artwork by Lee Noble (No Kings Records/ Bathetic), mastering by LXC (Watta Sound/ Alphacut). First 100 copies come on white vinyl.
