Tribal Guide

It is Saturday and here is my new Ecstatic Dance Upload as promised.

This one is N. 9 played in Koh Phangan on 22/10/21

This one hold a special space in my heart! ...WE WERE BUSTED!
but as time proved, nothing comes for the bad! ... It brought a lot of changes that radically changed our dances for the good!! 

During COVID period, restrictions in Koh Phangan were lifted allowing gatherings up to 100 ppl.
Still, all attendants had to wear mask, be vaccinated and submit their personal data at the gate.
Of course we did not follow the rules strictly!
I was not surprised when the police appeared in front of me, filming me while playing the peak track!!! ... hence the recording suddenly stop!

Me and my "Brother in Beats" Sunshay were brought to the police office and somehow ended up paying a BIG fine to avoid the case to be brought further.
Still grateful to the friends and the amazing Ecstatic community of the island that, in 2 days, collected the full import to refund us!
BIG RESPECT ..... YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

I started my Ecstatic Dance Journey in 2008 at the very beginning of the now famous Yoga Barn in Bali, then in 2016 I gave birth to the Sunday Mornings Dances at Pyramid Yoga in Koh Phangan and the Evening Friday dances in Jaran's.
Consistently started to record my sets (or almost) only in 2017/18.

I will try now to upload one every Saturday starting from those days ...... raw as they are (as I do not even re listen to them before uploading them!!)

Follow me in my Ecstatic Journey and let's see where we will end up ....
(to date ...with one set every week we will have more then 2 years to explore in front of us!)

It is Saturday and here is my new Ecstatic Dance Upload as promised.

This one is N. 16 played in Koh Phangan on 06/03/2020 at Jaran Yoga.
(first 7 min of drone for intro into movement and body awareness)

This time I had the Amazing Amir Yacobi from Tribal Dance Israel playing his drum set together with my music.

Honestly I have never experienced a men with the same  energy as him playing live.

The kind of vibe he was transmitting to the crowd was simply magic!

This originally was recorded live at Free Motion Ecstatic Dance in Boulder on February 6th, 2017. I've since added and edited layers to make it be a nice morning meditation for you all to enjoy :)  
It's in the key of C so it corresponds with the root chakra, and features live nature recordings I captured in Mexico, and Israel. Also you will hear clips of the Muslim call for prayer and Jewish Davening (praying) as a statement of peace and unification. We are human beings experiencing life second by second. No reason to draw lines between one another when we can all be celebrated as individuals and a collective. So take 20 minutes out of your day, visit my sound cloud (link on my ig profile) and experience this journey through the morning sounds voices of the world..

"All living bodies generate an external field of energy called Wei Qi.
the Wei Qi field is seen to be limited to the surface of the body, 
circulating within the tendon and muscle tissues.
However, the Wei Qi field also includes three external layers of the body’s auric and subtle energy fields.
This energy originates from each of the internal organs and radiates through the external tissues. 
There the Wei Qi forms an energy field that radiates from the entire physical body.

Really wanted to do something different and experiment without having a defined melody or even key signature. I intend for the listener to explore various image and emotions in this journey. Its meant to confuse at first but kind of resolve at the end. This piece feels like entering a portal to the unknown.

This is truly a dance-inspired mix and probably one of the Vibes and a very nice preview of what we will hear in the Club this coming winter season!

Wei Chi Field (Pronounced Way-Chee Field) literally translating to "protective energy field,” is an eclectic music project lead by Dan Yolles that aims to connect listeners to their own energy field a well as the community’s, via vibrant vibrations and infinite soundscapes, intended to bring about movement, deep expression and inner heeling. Many of the sounds woven in the music are recorded from moments and experiences around the world, especially from nature and cultural hot spots that are then transformed into the fluvial beats and melodic motifs. But perhaps what makes Wei Chi Field unique is their element of organic/live instrumentation supported by Dan, Samuel Wexler, and other guest musicians. This love infused music is intended to take listeners on expansive journeys that reach desert lands, underwater oases, remote jungles and rain forests, the cosmos, and the depths within. Wei Chi Field gently cradles your energetic being, presenting your mind with sacred harmonies and intricate composition to grasp your body with deep down to mid-tempo bass rhythms. 

Wei-Chi Field performs solo sets and with any of the listed musicians.
