This originally was recorded live at Free Motion Ecstatic Dance in Boulder on February 6th, 2017. I've since added and edited layers to make it be a nice morning meditation for you all to enjoy :)  
It's in the key of C so it corresponds with the root chakra, and features live nature recordings I captured in Mexico, and Israel. Also you will hear clips of the Muslim call for prayer and Jewish Davening (praying) as a statement of peace and unification. We are human beings experiencing life second by second. No reason to draw lines between one another when we can all be celebrated as individuals and a collective. This is a cover (not a remix) of Clint Mansell's "Death Is The Road To Awe" from the motion picture The Fountain.  The original song is incredibly inspirational and in our opinion one of the greatest pieces of music ever composed.  We decided to undertake the vast project of covering it and adapting it into a "dance music" format.  We incorporate elements of both dubstep and psychedelic trance, two genres that are very powerful and blend together quite harmoniously.  This piece features live violin by Valentin Santana and piano/guitar by Lauren Keys.  It was produced and recorded by Liam Shy who also provided the electronic/synth elements and percussion.  This piece is meant as an homage to the wonderful Clint Mansell, the Kronos Quartet and The Fountain.  We humbly present to you our rendition, ready to take the dancefloor to new emotional depths, and psychedelic heights...

"Snake charmer” is a slower edition of Ecstatic Dance, and includes devotional, organic and sensual music as well as more up-beat tracks.

I am continuing with the exploration of how much I can play what I love and what I feel should be heard and danced... vs. what people love and want and expect from "Ecstatic Dance", especially here on party-island Koh Phangan. 

My intention is to bridge the two - to play what I love and also to appeal to more people.

Wei Chi Field (Pronounced Way-Chee Field) literally translating to "protective energy field,” is an eclectic music project lead by Dan Yolles that aims to connect listeners to their own energy field a well as the community’s, via vibrant vibrations and infinite soundscapes, intended to bring about movement, deep expression and inner heeling. Many of the sounds woven in the music are recorded from moments and experiences around the world, especially from nature and cultural hot spots that are then transformed into the fluvial beats and melodic motifs. But perhaps what makes Wei Chi Field unique is their element of organic/live instrumentation supported by Dan, Samuel Wexler, and other guest musicians. This love infused music is intended to take listeners on expansive journeys that reach desert lands, underwater oases, remote jungles and rain forests, the cosmos, and the depths within. Wei Chi Field gently cradles your energetic being, presenting your mind with sacred harmonies and intricate composition to grasp your body with deep down to mid-tempo bass rhythms. 

Wei-Chi Field performs solo sets and with any of the listed musicians.
