Thank you so much for being here and taking the time to listen to my music.

My first steps in electronic music were with the Atari 260 ST (manually upgraded to 1 MB memory), a Yamaha PSR460 keyboard and Cubeat 1.0 (later renamed to Cubase 1.0). So I've always been focused on Cubase, so to speak.

That was a long time ago. In the meantime I set up my little studio and recorded a few songs for myself. However, I didn't dare to publish them because they might not be good enough for the world. 

But at the beginning of 2023 I risked to publish the first songs. I hope you like my music, even if everything is very amateurish.

Now 5 months have passed and I would like to describe my impressions so far. 

This is the best community I have ever experienced. You guys are so great, motivating, inspiring, creative and constructive. This week I welcomed my 500th follower and you gave me the opportunity to reply to over 1000 comments. I never would have expected that.

IR1S is an alternative band electronic music project where the central characters in every song are women. Each track tells a story, explores a social issue, or expresses a thought from the perspective of these protagonists, weaving together elements of both fictional narratives and real-life experiences. Drawing inspiration from strong women in literature, cinema, and dystopian worlds, IR1S creates a unique soundscape that blends powerful storytelling with evocative electronic beats.

I see a meaning in the limitation to minimalist sounds. Sometimes less is more. As you can probably hear, my style is influenced by the sound-chip SID 6581 of the legendary Commodore C64 and groundbreaking synthesizers such as DX7 and Juno 6 - synths that changed pop forever. My work blends elements of post-punk synthwave, EBM, minimal techno and trance, merging the divided aspects of our being into a cohesive, transcendent experience.

It's a mythological fairy and the ultimate shapeshifter, capable of appearing in a variety of forms but most commonly as a dark horse or part dog.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice occurs on 21 or 22 December, when the sun shines directly over the tropic of Capricorn.
