My focus is on songs, on composition, not on style or genre. The songs  usually have lots of space for improvisation. 

I use a simple little application called "Guitar Pro", not really fit for producing, but a dream come true for rough little sketches like these...

As a composer and performer, I am most interested in the experiential aspects of music and sound. 
I began experimenting in 1996 with real time live looping, heavy effects processing and removing the performing ensemble from the direct view of the audience. This grew into an interest in music being a part of the overall experience, not the sole focus. I composed performances that incorporated whole buildings with multiple performing trios and duets in different rooms, allowing audience members to directly affect their experience by moving around the space. This work fed my excitement for the spontaneous magic of good improvisational players and music that reflects the “now” – a direct reflection of the environment the musician is in at the moment.


I'm a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer and producer.  Played extensively in the Minneapolis scene for years and recently relocated to the East Coast.
