Kapoor and Hvitling’s first album, The Odyssey, is monumental. It boasts eight tracks that are generous in terms of length and sophistication. Each has a distinctive feel and predominant mood, balancing intricate sonic arrangements with dynamic and rhythmically pleasant beats. Yet certain ethereal sound textures and melodies make the tracks echo each other, creating a sense of journeying through uncharted waters. Masterfully produced female vocal synths become spectral presences in several tracks, most notably in Vox Diaboli and Vox Angeli. In the former, seductive whispers hiss a rhymed incantation, creating a delightfully spooky atmosphere; while the latter lures the listener into sacred ecstasy with a combination of vibrant synths pristinely arranged with a string orchestra and LFO female vocals. Akumandra’s fourth official vinyl release stays true to its multicultural essence, adding this young Polish and Swedish producer duo to their vinyl catalog.

Belfast collective Spilt Milk Rekords are set to release their jam packed 22 track Various Artist compilation in aid of PIPS Hope & Support, highlighting the power of the creative community in Ireland.

Spilt Milk Rekords, the crew behind MINDS have been an advocate for Mental Health in the city for over three years, but with the closure of clubs and no longer able to raise money through events, the crew has come together to produce a genre-merging V/A - combining their passion for collaboration, mutual aid and community spirit. 

Today, we premiere one of the excellent tracks from the compilation, as we feature Belfast native and rising star, MATHESON, who's track 'Portal' is part of the mouthwatering 22 track compilation, featuring a whole host of Irish DJs and producers, who have all donated their music to this great charity.

The issue of mental health in Northern Ireland is a complicated one, the multi-generational trauma brought on by the troubles, coupled with years of austerity have resulted in a complex and struggling system. The pandemic has also led to an increase in feelings of hopelessness, with isolation and uncertainty often over-shadowing signs of progress. At times, however, conflict can inspire, unite, and while there is a long way to go, some collectives continue to put one small step forward despite having one of the toughest years of our lives.

"The Production of Warehouse EP started in early 2021 after being in the second Lockdown in Germany. At this time everyone was feeling a little bit down and hopeless, including me.

I missed being on the dance floor, being at festivals and meeting friends. The feeling of being stuck and the nostalgia from past parties & gatherings compared with the fury and energy to break out of this whole pandemic situation created Warehouse EP. It's a mix of heavy energetic dancefloor tracks compared with dreamy emotional synth lines and driving appreciator baselines.

These tracks are a homage to those old times & at the same time a statement that we want these times back. Warehouse' catchy synth melody compared with the vocal sample drives the listener into a hypnotic trance, while Riot In The hood, Rush & Looprunner are three straight dancefloor thumpers. All in all, an EP for the Warehouse Raves out there!"

O-Wells and 41ISSA have teamed up for their first joint EP. Marking 41ISSA's release debut, the result is four tracks full of speed and space-filling melodies: think big festival stage, think rave, think 2010 dance music (in the best possible way). Taking influences from their early clubbing years in the late noughties, O-Wells and 41ISSA found a mutual musical voice in a large and crisp sound between electro, techno and trance.
