Club Moniker is a Bay Area collective focused on forward-thinking underground dance music through intimate club experiences and a recently minted record label. The MONIKER label series features all Bay Area producers with the vision of showcasing the richness and diversity of local artistry.

MONIKER003 soundtracks the post-apocalyptic clubscape of our fantasies. Suffused with bassbin-rattling sub movement and deconstructed explorations of contemporary club music, the four-track EP whips between moments of tension, climax, and levity with a circumscribed recklessness. 

 The V/A is studded with two collabs featuring Club Moniker resident and co-label head, Pteron, including bread.fm resident, Prawns, and dubwise Bay Area stalwart, Only Now, with releases on Bokeh Versions and Polaar. Rising talents Shai FM and Fallen Matter round off the release with their respective fortes in shapeshifting percussive workouts and fractured, razor-sharp sound design.

Noss was created during a creative production challenge in January 2025. The then over 180 members of @aedirecords were invited to make a track in mono.

All submissions were gathered in an anonymous playlist and voted for by everyone in the community. The release title and artwork underwent similar democratic processes.

Then, another step was revealed, where the winning contributors were asked to make a stereo version of their track. This way, we explored and learned from both limitations and possibilities.

Released under the April full moon, 2025.
