Axis Alpha is a Prague-based dj who we love to follow since the RUSH27 festival in 2020. This promising czech artist is a member of the RUSH27 label,  a resident at the infamous Čičinek II warehouse and you could also catch him performing in Cross Club, Kave or Nero.

It's time for a new edition of our podcast series, this time we're glad to present you ASH, from Bahn Barcelona.

Leandro Rossi is a Brazilian artist based in Barcelona since 2012, started ASH (Vinyl Only) Project in 2017, is known by his own music style (Acid Space Hypnotic). He been spinning on the most important techno parties in town, as BAHN·, Techno In The Forest, HEX, Rezonanz, NODE, Selectors, Insert and had a recent gig at KHIDI in Tbilisi - Georgia.

Resident at BAHN· since January 2019, focused on music production, playing with some different setups as full analog live set, analog hybrid set, vinyl only set and 3 CDJ decks. Mixing and mastering engineering on BAHN· Records Studio and Artistic Director alongside STNDRD on BAHN· Records, vinyl and digital record label since beginning 2020.

The Navigare Audio podcast returns with a two hour mix from Prague based and Czech Republic born DJ Axis Alpha. The Weltraum club resident has appeared on many established platforms out there so when he approached us making a mix we instantly got interested.

"The newest mix from Axis Alpha narrates a story through the confession of a decadent self, with a strong emphasis on evoking complex emotions within the listeners. The central motif is darker melancholic atmospheres unraveling into uplifting tones that contrast with each other sometimes gently, sometimes more sharply."

- Where were you born and raised?

I was born in north-east of Bohemia where I spent my whole childhood, after I graduated I moved to Prague to study and enhance my musical journey. This is the time when I first came in touch with electronic music and especially fell in love with trippy techno.

- Describe your music journey with few statements. How everything started and how you ended up to electronic music. Which factors shaped your music taste?

My first experience was a warehouse rave with DVS1 and after this immersive experience I decided to start DJing and I created my moniker: Axis Alpha. It can be described as a guide through alpha states of mind that one reaches when listening to trippy music. This approach secured me bookings basically in every relatable club or space in Prague and thanks to that I met my second family of like-minded friends and created Weltraum collective together. Recently I got into producing too and hope I will be able to put something out in the future.

- What can we expect from your mix?

In this mix Ive taken slightly different approach and created trippy, 1 hour long session in different style than my usual 4/4 techno. You can expect rise of energy that drops in the middle of the journey only to be recreated again in an immersive finale. Enjoy :)

Since 2022 he is a part of Weltraum, Prague-based collective of friends enjoying deep, high-intensity techno music who love to play it together.
In 2023 he teamed up with Nior to further enhance listener’s trippy experiences by regularly playing b2b together.

Back with the fourth episode of our series!

This show with guest: Forest On Stasys

The creativity of Forest On Stasys is Influenced by tribal minimalist techno in the nineties and the deepest and most abstract techno currently. In his tracks the most seductive elements are the use of resonant basses perfectly combined with long and reverberated pads, extensive sonorous landscapes that are modified by continuous movement of LFO, solid grooves and strident percussions.

But not everything that comes out of his head is created with an intention to be used on the dance floor. He has a great admiration for drone and ambient tracks, without a rhythmic pattern that predominates, where the main factor is to captivate the listener with melodies that can be marked by a strong melancholy or with notes that give a certain feeling of satisfaction depending on his current mood.

Just recently THNTS has discovered electronic music, before he was mostly interested in Hardcore, Black- and Doom-metal. A record collector and enthusiast he especially appreciated the created atmosphere. Soon he began to find the similarities in atmosphere and sound also in experimental kinds of techno.His DJ-sets resemble this development: sometimes driving, sometimes dreamy, but always telling a tale. He is also involved in the booking of event series apathy, ESCH and most recently Elements in ://about blank.
