Simina Grigoriu bridges the heavy and the melodic realms of techno for her inaugural EP on Kuukou Records. An experienced globetrotter, Simina is known for taking great inspiration from her travels, so it comes as no surprise that the name she’s chosen for her own label, Kuukou stands for “airport” in Japanese. 
 
Techno Monkey kicks off proceedings with a hard hitting bassline, setting a compelling audio narrative for the entire track. The melody unfolds by the way of undulating synths as well as grave bells and clangs, peppered with eerie vocals.

If you’re looking for hard hitting, straightforward Techno action, you probably know by now that Kuukou Records doesn’t fail to deliver. Setting the tone is label chief Simina Grigoriu who signs release #11, a tension-driven deep tech exploration made up of one original and two weighty remixes.

The mood is set from the get go - eerie chants, a dark textured bassline and sharp stabs create a late night chamber atmosphere. Winding rhythms soon follow, creating an utterly magnetic soundwave  in a sonic surrounding that’s fit for peak time. 
Live techno master Torsten Kanzler puts his studio chops into play for a spellbinding rearrangement of the title track. The initial ghostly sample get elongated, the vocal bit distorted in a remake that amplifies the darkness factor, while minimizing the punchy elements. 

Cosmic Boys rendition of "Ace Killer" is surreal and solemn with grave accents, aptly showing off the producers’ attention to details. A zig-zagging main synth reigns movement and mystery throughout the entire cut, on a backbone of downplayed percussion pads. 

All in all, three cavernous Techno tracks that are brushed and sharpened for the prime hours of the night, with differing degrees of afterhour versatility.

Daniel Jaeger - Be A Better You EP

The first Criminal Bassline EP release comes from Daniel Jaeger. A young artist who is also part of the core-crew of Criminal Bassline Berlin. We are really proud to present his first solo EP!
Daniel Jaeger, born and raised in Berlin, started producing music at the age of 12 and started to DJ in clubs at 16. He joined the core-crew of Criminal Bassline in 2016 and quickly became one of the label managers. In 2017 he joined the well-known Berlin underground party series “Bordel des Arts” as resident DJ. This year, Daniel finally released his first track “Stampede” which came out on Bar 25 Music as part of the Bordel Des Arts Vol.1 compilation and he has already signed lots more music to other labels.
The title track is called “Be A Better You“ and is definitely one for the peak time on the dance floor. Packed with sub-frequencies, a deep and groovy bassline, punchy kick and a vocal which will stick in your mind for a while. The b-side track “Weird World“ also highlights his signature sound. This one is darker and more trippy. It touches your brain on a deeper level but is straight forward at the same time. Both tracks are definitely multitools for the dance floor!
Alongside the two originals, this EP includes two remixes of the title track “Be A Better You”.
The first remix is made by Criminal Bassline founder Mike Book who delivers a dark and edgy peak time tech-house interpretation. The second remix comes courtesy of “Patent Skills” label owner DJ Lion who adds a straight forward techno remake of the original to complete the package!

Turkey-based producer, Elvice returns to Ghetto Ghetto with a smashing new EP "Forbidden Place". The EP Starts with Forbidden Bass, enlisting the help of Mexico-based producer MichaelBM to help him craft a G house epic. Dark Place takes it even further and takes you on a journey to an even darker state of consciousness. Ghetto Ghetto enlisted two remixers for this package. First up, Juany Bravo, based out of Bangkok, The American Ex-Pat conjured up some steamy dark techno vibes for "Dark Place". LA via Charlotte-based B!tch Be Cool rounds out the package with an explosive G House remix of 'Forbidden Bass' that will dominate any after-hours dance floor.

We got a taste of Seth Wright on the ADE Sampler. We are pleased to present his This That EP on Ghetto Ghetto! Coming out the gate heavy, this Brazilian born, LA-based producer cooked up two tracks for us. 'This That' has hard stabbing trap horns leading up to a BANG with its' insane bassline.
