I wouldn't say I have a format or particular style. 

I used to study folders of rap lyrics when I was young in the late 90's/2000's... I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the backstories between the situations and circumstances being discussed within the records. I truly believe in the importance of word choice and therefore fully embraced the emotion and anger that is expressed through Rap. I also appreciate Rap as a political outlet.

Rap is about being honest. And that's all I think there is to it. I don't give a fuck about what's 'accessible' or 'correct', I just like fucking about with heaps of different ideas.

I would love some guidance concerning production as I know fuck all. I'm not wanting to be 'carried' or gain status by association, I just want to learn.
I'm quite new to music, having previously been engulfed by science and being put down for having any sort of voice.

Like my shit or don't. But I am actually astounded that 'thepressuresrising' actually came out of me in one go, with no rehearsal or previewing of the track, plan or idea of flow. I just read a bunch of stuff out of a notebook. I smashed it and hopefully someone will be keen to chill and vibe, helping me cultivate potential.

Not only a talented producer, Matt is also a fine selector, conveying his passion for music through DJ sets that pay homage to the sound and culture’s rich history as much as they showcase the freshest cuts of sonic innovation from himself and his contemporaries. He has hit spots all around the world to assault soundsystems with bass-fuelled beats and positive vibes. Catch Matt bringing heat to a series of festivals this summer, and with a landmark tour yet to be announced, there is plenty to look forward to on the horizon.
