My favorite Locomotion yet?? It's been a long time coming but finally had the extended club b3b with Merchant we've been waiting for ever since we played together for the first time. The result is my favorite journey yet - almost 7hrs of spiritual grooves & futuristic rides spanning every genre in our record collections.

What is Locomotion?
Locomotion is about DJ artistry, the creative process & storytelling with music. Every month, I invite someone for an all night b2b DJ set and we go on a journey of spiritual grooves & futuristic rides, making you move like crazy.

The long set time allows us to play long tracks, not shying away from those 8-12min tracks, moving through emotions & genres like there are no boundaries.

We're delighted to release an all vinyl recording from DJ, multidisplinary artist and Patchwork label owner Sassy J.

Hailing from the beautiful Swiss capital of Bern, Sassy J has a colourful and charming sound that is informed by her simple and honest love of music.

Passionately developing her craft for over 20 years, she has kept a focus on forward thinking electronic and analog sounds, earning a reputation amongst esteemed artists and fans that appreciate her unhurried style.

A tactile and heartfelt selector with a quest to really take her listeners on a journey, Sassy J likes to let her music breath and marinate, taking her time to let the moods and grooves sink in. Always shifting through sounds with real dynamism, it’s all these things that make her a standout voice within the DJ community.

Having performed everywhere from Plastic People, Rainbow Disco Club and Dekmantel to Panorama Bar and De School, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Sassy J to join us at The Roller Rink this year with Tim Garcia and Mr Redley.

Alongside DJing, her regular night Patchwork has blossomed to offer compilations, one on Rush Hour records and now on the Patchworks self titled imprint, releasing the first Cassette tape last year.

Keep an eye out for the latest Patchwork release landing on Rush Hour Records in a few months time.

Christophe is out of Bristol and (he'll hate me saying this) is mega talented across the board. He can just make stuff. His paintings are incredible and he can tur his hand to whatever he chooses. Aside form that he's got perfect taste for a Sunrise Session set. I know him for his fine selections of deep house but this year he came with a bag of balearic beats and they sounded perfect next to the water. A lovely set.

To mark the halfway point of @SassyJ’s Oceania tour we are blessed to have a mix from the queen herself. To keep the summer vibes rolling, we have a long awaited contribution to our mix series ahead of her shows at Modeci in Seoul and Reach in Hong Kong.

London based producers, visual artists and DJ duo, Good Block have been throwing parties in the capital for nearly 15 years. Hosting the likes of Ramzi, Mogwaa, Jex Opolis, Gabrielle Kwarteng, Jamie Tiller, Zaltan, Bufiman, Jon K, Cosmic Slop, Bradley Zero, Apiento, Bahamian Moor, Trujillo, Jonny Rock and many more. 

In 2018 the duo started a very popular dropbox folder of free edits which slowly continues to expand. With a string of productions and remixes on the likes of Isle Of Jura, Emotional Response, Planet Trip, Heels & Souls and Duca Bianco they also released three EPs - 4 Corners, Aquaculture and Naiad / Dryad on their own imprint.

On 20th March 2025 the duo will debut their full length album ‘Window’ a collection of works recorded between 2017 - 2024 representing hours of musical experimentation and emerging from the many influences that have shaped their sound. The album will be available on limited edition double gatefold vinyl and full digital release, with artwork by the duo.
