The lead cut Never leave Africa has been championed by Black Coffee for sometime now and we are please to release this emotion provoking track to the general public, Deep down and dirty Afro tech at its best, with a vocal sample which has been used before but not to such great effect. Next up is Oxygenbuntu Ode to Africa Vukani with its haunting warrior style chanting, provided by Banizi & Odwa built around a swirling rising synth which builds and builds to a crescendo. Spookish Ugodo, with its syncopated percussion, his now trademark reverb heavy vocals. We close our first release of 2022 with We are human beings in Africa

Their ep entitled DAULLE is made for the dance floor with the lead track the infectious Daulle consisting of subtle swirling synths with a piano hook that will sound familiar to those who know their house music. 

Whilst Drum Rhythm lives up to its title with syncopated rhythms and haunting strings. Next up is my personal favourite Intro Electrified , built around a stabbing synth and high class haunting strings, this one is for those that like their house on the HEAVY side . Rounding off the ep we have No Fuss. which it a combination of the elements which make this group one to watch

Njabulo Mseleku popular known as sjwere, stage name Ultramax also a member of a Gqom group located in South Arica, KwaZulu-Natal, Durban. He was born and raised in South Africa, KwaZulu- Natal, Durban, in a township called KwaMasu. He is a young and upcoming DJ/Producer, very passionate and motivated by his work and also have skills of Dancing. He is currently an independent DJ/Producer.

Double Drop soon became interested in music. In 2006, he began his adventure in the world of production in styles such as HipHop and R & B. In 2018 he took a break from music for a year, and outside the city he realized the need for a change in the music he was producing. Today, he is back with a new creative lymph, riding on the evolution of the times but always tied to his roots. Which allowed him to sign with major labels like Go Deeva, MoBlack, Transa Records, Afrocentric. With the talent of young producers to flourish in Mozambique, he decided to create his label Xibalo,focus on afro and organic contest. Today, his genre of reference is Afro House: a contagious sound, warm and without limits as regards creativity and the fusion of styles. He has a positive spirit, and he loves to enrich himself thanks to the encounter with people and other artists, under the sign of respect and love for humanity, and with the aim of instilling hope, touching the soul of the listeners, beyond any race, sex or religion. A nature that is fully reflected in his music.

We love Candy Man's sound!!!!! . In our opinion highly underrated, we have the pleasure in welcoming him back for his 4th release on the label . This ep displays the growth of his Afro Tech sound, which is shown over 4 cuts of pure bliss .



First up the lead cut which has been causing waves on SA radio. Paranormal, from the moment the siren kicks it you know its going to be a dance floor banger, the intricate use of multiple synths to create an immersive soundscape is something he does so effortlessly, taking the listen on a journey. Soliders is a pure foot Stomping Afro Tech workout, with a snare that is hard enough to make your body shake, driving percussion and an overall atmospherics that only Candy Man can make.



The third cut Spring River highlights a slight change in Candy Man%u2019s sound with some far east influences, but still grounded in his unique take on the SA Afro Tech Sound. Rounding of the package is Drongobor24 sounding like something he would release as part of his Drumatic Soul guise, we call this dance floor drama of the highest order. Marching music for the dance floor.

Although it starts off somewhat low-key, it rapidly takes a turn and becomes a lot more animated and vibrant in feel. Although Ibhubezi has chilly elements, it still manages to give off a feeling of bright, welcoming humanity. This is a dynamic Afro House gem that's chock-full of twists and turns.

Tap into a Wilson Kentura set and you’ll get nothing but infectious bangers! Hailing from Luanda, Angola, Kentura has had an eclectic career and has used his past exploits as influences in his new material. Wilson Kentura’s afro house also incorporates kizomba and kuduro, traditional Angolan forms of dance music, in addition to sampled elements of vocal soul. Those styles clashing together bring a unique groove to Wilson’s beats and mixes that other DJs do not possess.
This cluster of influences rears its head as soon as we begin with the A-side “Burn The Floor.” The drums pack serious punch and grit, not to mention they come emboldened by the rich synth textures and barking vocal chops. The mix is tightly structured yet

beautifully balanced, allowing for stabs and atmospheric synth leads to transition in and out of the track’s progression. All this makes “Burn The Floor” an essential Afro house listen, but the B-side, “Jungle Jail,” is not to be outdone. An infusion of traditional drum samples as well as ambient noise and field recordings transport the listener to the wild. Distant tribal chants call out and give way to an undeniably catchy synth melody, a perfect meld of man and nature.

Consistently turning heads in the South African house music scene and beyond since 2014, Vanco blesses Afrocentric Records once again with a new batch of remixes for his song "Lutho." Africa's burgeoning electronic scene sees no shortage of quality projects being
released for eager fans to consume. South African veteran producer Gino Brown returns
once again to provide that material with two new mixes of his track "Shayl Number."
Featuring Mr. Vince on vocals, Brown enlists outside DJs to remix a modern Afro dance
banger in two different sonic directions.

The Cee El Assaad Voodoo Mix contrasts nicely with its counterpart (which is
remixed by Cory Centric himself). In both versions you are getting the expertly mixed
lead synths surrounded by shimmering stabs, the earworm main melodies, and the
meticulously layered rhythm percussion. Cee El Assaad's version supplies a bigger
knock to your speakers with its deep floor drums while Cory Centric opts for a less heavy
experience using more claves and high hats. Of course, both remixes preserve the
fantastic Mr. Vince feature. Vince's powerful lead vocal embodies the spirit of a proud

Benny T, also known as Benedict Mabe, is a very prominent name which has been linked with dance floor blasting electronic music bangers for the past few years. Following on from his well received and Sama nominated record of the year release Shay’I Number. Afrocentric Records welcome back Gino Brown
Uchi Dai Dai in its original form is a thumping afro house workout, with a baseline and syncopated drums delicate synth stabs all lead by Ruvimbo unique vocal style.
For the remixes we have 3 different interpretations first up is AM Flow from the US, they take the original and take it to the dance floor with a bongo and percussive workout with a organ progression towards the end of the track which adds a certain vintage style harking back to the days of early house.
   
This is followed by George North from Greece who to takes it deeper, with some nifty effects on the vocals, congas to die for and a groovy B line which is perfect for that beach club DJ set (post Covid)
We close the package with Afrocentric Recording artist Sky White. Known for his big room Afro sound, he takes his remix into Afro Tech territory, keeping key elements from the original and adding some deep strings dark synth base, and a some dirty guitar licks

Gino Brown – the affirmed lover of music, South African DJ, music producer, songwriter and actor. Described as jovial and creative by his peers, the eager beaver discovered his ablaze passion for music as early as Grade 9. Having released a hit single “Body Language” which went on South African radio stations and infiltrated Africa.
Apart from penetrating the radio stations, the hit single received recognition as numero uno on MTV Base for 4 consecutive weeks. In Africa, the single has been number one on Nigeria radio stations amongst which is The Beat FM, Paradise FM and Niger 102 FM and play listed in Ghana on YFM and radio stations in Uganda. “Body Language” went further to Top 20 in Africa on Trace TV and Channel O. His career highlights include: nomination for the Metro FM Awards, Big Brother Africa and LIVE Amp performances.
In 2015 Gino Brown was the first South African artist to perform at the prestigious Gidi culture fest held in Lagos Nigeria. The festival is dubbed the biggest beach party in Africa. Gino performed alongside great artists across Africa, such as the legendary Congolese artist Awilo, Kenyan singing sensation Victoria Kimani,Vanessa Mdee from Tanzania and Burna Boy.
Inspired by the likes of Black Coffee, the beaver aspires to infuse the music industry by simply revealing to the world who Gino Brown is.

OxygenBuntu is a name you need to take note of , this up and coming producer is insanely  talented and we are blessed to have Soyo Soyo as the first in a trilogy of releases coming out on Afrocentric Records

The original mix is an Afro Tech monster of a groove with dark swirling strings high hitting synth’s and bone shaking percussion,all blended perfectly with the vocals man of the moment Idd Aziz’s .This will be our second release with the Kenyan maestro, on vocals and his performance as usual is outstanding. This is a journey of a track coming in 9:22 with every second made to count.
On remix duty we have drafted in another up and coming talent Gumz, with releases on Aluku Records and MoBlack, as well as he latest release featuring regularly on Black Coffee’s Lockdown sets. His remix is percussion heavy, with delicate , piano and a more downtempo dreamy feel. And ohhhhhhhh the breakdown is definitely gonna bring the dance floor into a crescendo when it drops. 

DJ Jim Mastershine (Drumatic Soul) delivers a much harder Afro tech remix with his signature “chugging” sound, tickling keys, serious sounding synth and heavy percussion, and using subtle vocal effects to really highlight Idd Aziz pleading vocals

Next up with have a new name to the game Dubai based Jacey he brings a stripped down remix built around a haunting synth line, and some heavyweight drums , topped off with some nifty key work. Watch out for this producer as you will be hearing a lot more from him.
