The Netherlands might be considered a small country with few inhabitants, but when it comes to electronic music it’s a breeding ground for young talent.

In January 2015 Moovmnt birthed the project known as 'Werk Space'. We were playing with the idea to put together a bunch of different producers on a compilation. However this was not exciting enough, so we decided to work out the idea and approached the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam.

The Red Bull Studios Amsterdam is a state-of-the-art recording and production facility, where renowned and up-and-coming artists, are provided with everything they need in order to celebrate and create music!

Each month we invite a producer from the Netherlands to showcase his artistry and challenge him to work in an amazingly fruitful environment. In addition fellow musicians, vocalists and instrumentalists are invited. By doing so collaborations, that otherwise would have never been initiated, are conceived.

Three weeks have passed since the inception of ‘Werk Space’. A monthly Dutch producer series that takes place at the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam. Here’s how it works.
Each month we invite a producer from the Netherlands to showcase his artistry and challenge him to work in an amazingly fruitful environment.

The Red Bull Studios Amsterdam is a state-of-the-art recording and production facility, where renowned and up-and-coming artists, are provided with everything they need in order to celebrate and create music!

Nineteen-year-old Singularis delivers the first blow with some help of fellow producer Sndwvs. After two days of pure creativity, and some laughs, they left the studio having devised a laid back Hiphop beat entitled “Ride”. 

We joyfully premiere the very first piece of music spawned from this series. We’ll merge all three tracks into one EP and release it as a free download early April.

Next month our guests will be @Moodsprod from Rotterdam and a young vocalist from Ghent. Best believe this is only the first of many music findings. You will come to know, love and respect the many talented producers our little country has to offer.

Premiere: Singularis - Ride Ft. Sndwvs (Werk Space)



A brassed out version of the Rihanna/Kanye Four Five Seconds remix @Lidogotsongs and I did that was pulled from the internet last week from his page. Shouts to Raja Kassis for replacing the acoustic guitar parts on such short notice, and Mark Osen Osnes for killing the guitar parts on the original remix. Also shouts to Lido for being an absolute beast.

This time around we unfortunately only got to spend 1 day in the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam for our monthly 'Werk Space' project with Jengi Beats. The young producer from Den Bosch turned 19 in January and is well on his way to becoming one of our national export products. You might know Jengi Beats, because of his affiliation with ZenSupremacy, Youtellme or Bitbird. Or perhaps you've heard his remix of El. Train's "Control" featuring miss Miki Rose.

Anyway sir Jengi Beats worked on a little track called "Sun Sun" during his Werk Space visit to the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam.

Next week @Wantigga will join us in the studio and best believe you will discover, love and respect many more talented Dutch producers.

For the second installment of our monthly Dutch producer series,  we invited Rotterdam-based producer Moods to the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam.
Each month we invite a Dutch producer to showcase his artistry and challenge him to work in an amazingly fruitful environment.

The Red Bull Studios Amsterdam is a state-of-the-art recording and production facility, where renowned and up-and-coming artists, are provided with everything they need in order to celebrate and create music!

We also invited the alluring SIAM from Ghent (Belgium) to lay down some amazing vocals and managed to record and mix everything within a day. Her jazzy style of singing fits perfectly with Nick's production on the newly created song "Organic".

For our fifth 'Werk Space' edition we invited veteran producer Wantigga formerly known as Wan. He thought it would be a good idea to invite Soulection label mate Jarreau Vandal for a collaboration and the outcome is phenomenal.
As a starting point they used the 'So Flute' sample, but completely switch it with Jarreau going apeshit on the drums.

Early February Jaël, from the the northlands of Friesland, came down to the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam to werk on some warm sounds for another edition of Werk Space.

The Moluccan producer reps the @Darkerthanwax fam and is one of the most musical guests we've had visit so far.

His cuzzo J'Chanel stopped by to soak up the vibes and ended up playing some additional bass. Lo and behold...the track "Situations" is nothing short from colossal. And believe it or not it's available for free download!
