Sacrament is a metal band based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Formed in mid 2011 as a side project alongside Dark Rose (Disbanded in 2012). Sacrament was formed out of the mere passion and love for creating music and thrashing around! Bringing forth intense, chaotic, brutal and melodious tunes.

The band's genre is a mixture of diverse styles. Mainly heavy metal/ thrash/ progressive metal/ groove metal/ symphonic metal/ neo-classical metal/ melodic death metal and elements of baila/blues/rock 'n' roll/ classical music and characteristics of djent are also incorporated in their music.
The lyrical themes of the band are topics such as hate, apocalyptic concerns, apathy, child abuse, politics, war, critical towards religion, denouncement of religion, inner struggle and conviction, love, hope, faith and other crazy shit. (;

Sacrament has commenced laying down their tracks for their debut album release in 2016 titled as Spero Melior.
