Im really liking this upbeat, sassy song!!!

This song was written for my brother who took his own life in April 2012. It's from the point of view of pleading with him to let me help him, my helplessness in watching him deteriorate but ending in personal resolution and comfort with what has happened and looking to the future with the knowledge that he is finally in peace and we will see each other again.

Murder Me (feat. Glitter Princess)

An adventurous foray into the new world of Djent with old school melodic influence. This song is the first of many in a metal concept album I've been working on, I hope you enjoy it. 

Everything here was recorded into Cubase 5 with no post processing. All drums are Getgood Drums raw, all guitars and bass are AxeFx2XL with my special sauce tone for each.

Duh-jent G0d

Hey dudes, back again with some more metal mayhem.

This one was an interesting track to make. The main riff (very little to no inspiration behind it) came completely out of nowhere and ended up sounding like what I think dracula making a metal riff would sound like. The rest is kind of based on droning black metal type nonsense. I think it turned out super cool.

I recorded everything through my newly upgraded PC, Cubase 9.5, and used pretty standard EQ and Compression throughout.

This song is about how evil can slowly creep over you and the temptations it brings...flirting with the devil if you will as the song evolves into a wailing drone-y end. 

Continuing on with the concept of the album this song is a part of, this song takes place maybe a few songs in to establish that something is not OK inside the central character and he/she has realized that evil has manifested inside them

Bless The Rot

Hey dudes, back again with some more nonsense!

This one came about during a journey listening back through the melodic metal records that greatly inspired me when I was younger. The riffs are heavy, the drums are loud, the solos have sweep picking, you name it.

This song is just a fun little number. It's meant to be a journey through different musical emotions. I employed a little more syncopation in this one to give it almost a melodic "Meshuggah" kinda vibe. See if you can spot the random rhythmic modulations.

Continuing on with the concept of the album this song is a part of, this song takes place maybe a bit later in to start bringing an end to the story. The end of this song has a little motif section that signifies heading toward home after a long journey.

Hey dudes, back at it again with some more wankery.

This tune was a ton of fun to make, all the riffs are surprisingly easy to play. It's just meant to be gnarly / angry / aggressive / whatever adjective you'd like to use.

Continuing with the concept of the album, this song is meant to be a big recurring of motifs, especially at the end. I use about 4 different themes and specific melodies located in other songs.

The ending is completely ridiculous and I'm using a pitch shifter on each instrument to bring it an octave down because why not.

TL;DR Thanks to The Haarp Machine for writing cool riffs and inspiring me to write a tune like this.

Zero Horizon

Urban Dictionary defines TIZZLE as:

"A fat party. This word is derived from the word partizzle, shortened to tizzle, and then to tizz at it's most abbreviated form."

Honestly I can't remember why I gave this song that working title...probably because I thought it ended up sounding like a dance riff or something

Anyway, this song is sort of a one-off I made a while ago and only got around to recording it recently. I had a ton of inspiration for this song and a couple of the melodies in it from my now beautiful and inspiring wife Gabby. I hope to write more cool singles like this one in the future!

Although two of the six songs on this album were written directly about the devastating experience of losing his brother, he approaches them with raw honesty and a familiar silver lining that says that life does go on and that it will get better if you want it to.

In addition to the heavier subject matter there are upbeat songs like "Heavy" which is about not letting material possessions control you, to be wary of the "rat race" and to find your own happiness in the simple things. "Give Me Something To Believe In" has a flavor of light-hearted social commentary and "Up The Wall" is a romantic, sexy song about the magic of new attraction.

The single of the album "It's You" was written based on a 3 second observation at an airport. A man and woman of similar age walk past each other and each turns around to check out the other but neither catches the other doing it. A missed opportunity for a life-changing, chance meeting? Out came this song about how cosmic true love can be and the soul's hunger to find it.

He released his solo acoustic debut album, "We've Been Here Before" in 2005 as a resident of Athens, GA and quickly got the attention of music lovers as well as a nomination for Soloist of the Year. His single “So Long” from that album was even added to the “Essential Athens Collection”, a music compilation available for download on iTunes, features REM, the B52s, and other renowned artists associated with the Athens music community. Wesley was featured as an “Artist on the Rise” on MTV2 with his quickly gained clout within music circles. 

His newer, full-band album, “New Ground", in May of 2010.
