Marcal is back for round two on Dustin Zahn’s Enemy Records with “Cyber Dystopia.” Marcal’s trademark grooves and clever vocal processing make this one of his most exciting and hypnotic records yet. It’s pure class…there isn’t much else to say!

BUT we have to try anyway…
“Cyber Dystopia” starts off with Bionic Jungle, a trippy peak time roller sprinkled with uh, lifeforms or something? We haven’t been able to identify them, which is just proof that Marcal is living on another planet we haven’t been to yet. We’re standing by for the invite.

Moravex’s Paradox picks up where Bionic Jungle left off…chugging along in his signature style. It’s loopy. It’s tooly…but still heavy on the grooves, making it a perfect fit in deep and peak time sets alike.

Nothing About the United States hits a little harder and darker. Dissonant drones and catchy sound design take over, flipping the switch from “party” to “punish.” For fans of his recent track on Enemy, “Never Wrote This.”

Don’t Fear the Three is a classic Marcal percussive workout in heads-down mode. It’s as equally powerful as every other track on the record.

“Cyber Dystopia” is all about the world we are living in right now: artificial intelligence, smart houses, smartphones, self-driving cars, deepfakes, fake news, cybernetic warfare, metaverse, social networks, the internet of things, machine learning, virtual reality...
We are definitely entering a new stage of civilization, the post-modern era.
But,
Are we living an 'apocalypse of self-abdication' already? Or we are, as humans, simply evolving as technology evolves? There will ever be a limit to technology? Will it help as much it can also destruct?

We will find out soon.

Since Concussion released some of his singles, he has been gaining more and more attention in the techno scene. With his skill and years of experience in music production, he made a name for himself, particularly in Stuttgart, and eventually caught the eye of the Stuttgart-based label Vision Ekstase. About three years ago, Concussion attended a Vision Ekstase event for the first time, which was one of the reasons he found his passion for the Groove Techno genre. Today, he proudly considers himself a solid member of the label. Just a few weeks ago, he released his first single on the label, which was only the beginning.

Now, his first new EP is on the horizon, titled "Synthetic EP." The EP is a compilation of four tracks produced and carefully selected over several months. He describes the EP as diverse, as it encompasses multiple styles from him. However, his unmistakable sound is still evident. He combines hypnotic ambient elements with driving drums, all within a very clean mixdown. His idea was to reinterpret various elements from different genres and incorporate them into his tracks in his own unique way. Perfect for creating a wow effect on the dance floor.

Involve Records proudly announces the upcoming release, Talkative Tools - a cutting-edge EP by the dynamic duo Blame The Mono. This release stands as a testament to Involve's commitment to pushing the boundaries of electronic music, featuring four tracks that blend intricate sound design, complex drum programming and impressive arrangements with raw energy, tailor-made for the modern dance floor.

The EP kicks off with "Pane Smasher," combining dark techno beats with futuristic grooves and soundscapes. The track's unique character is further enhanced by distorted reggae vocal shots, leading to a break dominated by an amen break-based drum and bass rhythm. Keeping the pace up, "Dump The Dealer," an elaborate, detail-rich track that showcases Blame The Mono's mastery in sound design, follows. Driven by a hypnotic vocal loop, the track navigates through gritty, trance-infused basslines before taking an unexpected turn into dubstep, offering dancers a moment to recharge before the high-octane drop. 

Following suit, "Gold Brick" impresses with elaborate drum work and an array of sounds ranging from piercing sirens to chopped vocals.
