In anticipation of Moontricks forthcoming releases, Westwood Presents "Soul Baby" - a brand new single from the talented and eclectic westcoast duo of producer Nate (NOG) Gurley and guitarist Sean Rodman.

Putting the soul back into electronic music, the track oozes with Rodman's vibey guitar licks and Gurleys signature rolling bass. Definitely one for smokey late nights, you'll be hitting repeat on this wishing it was longer.

If you didn't already know snapsforbae is a passion project (mix) that I release annually on Valentine's Day. As of this year I've decided to release one in the summer as well. This will be year 6. 
Each track selected for these mixtapes are chosen with a great deal of care and intention. That, being my personal emotions about how I'm feeling that day, week, hour & how the world inspires me to be a better person and work through my pain & triumphs in a healthy way free from substances. It feels like my intentional diary. The reason these take so long to make is because once I hit a block I  don't try to force a song to fit, I wait till the universe brings me one. Each time the right track comes along I feel the hair raise on my neck and there's a sensation of jubilance. 

This year we have been through so much and because of this bumpy ride the hurt & happiness and everything in-between is prominent within 006. This is where the second title #loveyourself comes from. 
February is Black History Month and this year's theme is "The Future Is Now" 

Black history month is about honoring the enormous contributions that Black people have made and continue to make in all sectors of society. It's  about celebrating their incredible innovation, resilience and determination to create a more inclusive Canada. One where we all have the opportunity to be seen and flourish. 
 If you've listened to any of my music you know it's very apparent that RNB is my favorite genre of them all.

I want to celebrate and acknowledge the Strong Black Men & Women who have contributed and made snapsforbae become such a treasure to my heart.
