SoHaSo (Something Happening Somewhere), the label run by ormer Trouw resident Nuno dos Santos, is celebrating the summer with not one, but two compilations. Selecting unique pieces by artists known and unknown, the SOMEWHERE series feels like a sound-based confessional. Telling unheard stories, exposing unseen surfaces and unheard sounds.

SOMEWHERE I and II are set to be released digitally, a vinyl sampler with a selection of the tracks featured in the full compilations and as well as a very limited run of CD’s. Something is happening somewhere, once again.

The first release contains some true sonic pieces of art, by contributors that have erected the label's reputation in the first place: Love Over Entropy, Presk, Sigward and of course Nuno Dos Santos himself.

The Premiere featured today comes from Polynation, who brings us a nearly 9-minute thriller in the form of 'Anther'.

Next up on Hivern Disc's edit series comes a very special vinyl-only release by collaborative project Lost Scripts – a match made in heaven between label head John Talabot and Pional.

"A.F.K." is our highlight, found on the flip and providing an uplifting Afro-inspired house track. The track balances its influences evenly, with percussive saturation and ritualistic vocal chants entwining with curly synth patterns, creating a journey that starts – as the Hivern family put it rightly themselves – 'in the savannah and ends in outer space'.

HVNED04 drops on July 29th as a limited edition 1o", housed in a silk-screened sleeve.

It’s been two years since the release of “Eyes” - the debut single from Borneland featuring Line Gøttsche. Friday the 24th of February 2017 the brothers are back, and Music For Dreams are proud to release two sublime remixes of the beautiful track.
Eyes was the follow up of “Bug A Boo (Borneland Remix)” - a reworking of Destiny’s Child all-time classic ‘Bug A Boo’ featured on MTV and Billboard. The original track combines classic keyboard sounds individually championed by the brothers including Rhodes piano, Prophet 08 synth and characteristic SH-101 sub bass, with acoustic violin by Andreas Birk and soulful vocals by Line Gøttsche. This is a track that not only communicates the simplicity of life and the perdition of love for another person, it's fragile vocal and compelling beauty just sticks in your head. To create the full experience of on this sublimely beautiful track, we’ve included the original too – you do not want to miss out on it!
