ehehehe. das böse erwachen. ganz schön düster, aber definitiv episch genug für einen oktoberfest hero (ich war nie, und erspare mir das auch gleich mal für den rest meines lebens)

Ich habe auf meiner Festplatte ein Projekt liegen namens "Hüttenzauber". Ein Freund von mir prahlte, wie toll der Skiurlaub gewesen sei. Dia-Abende sind ja out. Stattdessen brachte er eine dieser Greueltaten mit, genannt "Aprés-Ski-Hits Vol. 2763". Seinen vermeintlichen Ski-Urlaub habe ich vertont. Ich denke....nicht nur seinen 🤣. Bis jetzt wollte er ihn nicht anhören .... hmmm

my mother is german, and she used to dress me in lederhosen when I was young. That picture reminded me! crazy slowing down and sinister strings.

Inspired by this Japanese fantasy picture and the idea to create a chillout track ideal for meditation and to relax to. This track uses a variety of synths and asian instruments.

Had a great rehearsal session last night. Well, the performance wasn't that great, but it was the first time in a long time since we got to play with an acoustic drum kit and amps out loud. And I got to record it too on a nifty Zoom H8 multitrack recorder.

So here is mixed down but otherwise unedited "My Dark Side" in all it's livey flawness.

My Dark Side (live session)

I wrote this song about 15 years ago. The original version sounds much different, and in my opinion, much worse. I heard it recently and realized that I have struggled to record this song for years in its truest form. I think I've captured this song finally. It's not perfect. None of my work is. But I'm happy that this song is finally in the world of songs now. After 15 years with my lover, it was certainly a "Right Whim".

My sword is my mouth and I
Need to get gone know why
My edge is by sharpness
that's dull on the side
