Just my first person story here...
While slowly earning my B.S. degree in Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN 1984-1998 I was active in the middle TN music scene. I wrote, performed, and recorded original music in various bands, and projects. My songs were played on Nashville radio stations WRVU 91-Rock and KDF. Untreated worsening ADHD ended that as I found myself unable to finish songs, and productions. Since then I had made some efforts to get back to my love of making music, but kept failing. In 2021 after finally getting therapy and medication for my ADHD I found myself again able to see song ideas through to completion. After 23 years out of 'the game' I've had to learn new tools, and approaches to creating my music productions. I decided to share my journey 'warts and all' publicly as I learn and grow with new ways of doing things. The Recording Industry (Music Business) has also changed a lot since I earned my degree in 2000. I've had a lot to learn to navigate today's landscape as an independent artist, and that journey continues as well. With every release I feel like I'm getting better both at producing music in my bedroom studio with new tools, and better at navigating the business side. This is my passion. I hate that I lost 23 years unable to do it, but I won't stop again as long as I am able to make it happen. New project launching 2024: Pan-Pan Fell
