Dear listener,

Here the warm up opening set from the 6-day opening festivities at Sisyphos, Berlin in March 2023.

I had the honour of playing the very first records of the new season on my favourite floor with my favourite crowd. Here the recording. What I consider a proper warm up set and boy do I miss those slots sometimes. A journey through 40+ years of dance music with lots of personal favourites old and new. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

@Josi_ane and @lenabrecht met during a DJ workshop with Sarah Farina at Refuge Worldwide. Learning together, they’re DJ partners with a deep passion for House music. They launched „What a Playground“ as a platform to feature emerging artists who share their passion for various facets of House music. A space of warm tunes, soft vibes and new encounters. 

What a Playground aims to create an open and safer space for especially FLINTA* and BIPoC artists, encouraging them to play first sets to an appreciative, curious and diverse crowd. Curating DIY gatherings since summer 2022, the format is not only about creating pleasure and joy, but also about caring for each other. During each gathering they invite everybody to support a trusted organization whose work helps underrepresented people.


Here on SoundCloud sets from their community will be shared. Furthermore, this accounts aims to push the visibility of FLINTA* and BIPoC producers/artists.
