The new dirtybird compilation is loaded with 11 great tunes I have been collecting for over 6 months. Most notably, the Shiba San "OKAY" record has absolutely been destroying every dance floor known to man. We have lots of big birds like Justin Martin, Catz ‘N Dogz & Justin Jay on this, plus a ton of great newcomers and friends making appearances.

The dirtybird BBQ was founded as a small get together in Golden Gate Park thirteen years ago. We've had the same core line-ups and even the same chef, Grillson, since the beginning.  But three years ago, the free party in the park got too big and our permit was pulled.  The city of San Francisco could no longer handle the amount of people showing up to the event.  

Ever since then we have been trying to think of way to bring back the vibe of the BBQ park party. This year we finally put together a team that is able to take the BBQ party all across North America and Europe. We will be starting in Miami and ending in San Francisco so make sure to come grill and chill with us sometime this year. This compilation is a celebration of the O.G. dirtybird BBQ vibe.   I hope you enjoy the music.

Billy Kenny and Abby Jane make their Dirtybird debut with 'I Operate,' a house rumbler coming right out of Hanover, Germany by way of Leeds. The Dirtybird crew has had their eye on Billy Kenny ever since his track 'Work' ripped through the party at last year's Dirtybird BBQ series. 

The leading hypnotic vocal sample states simply, "(at night) I operate" - effortlessly evoking imagery of being beamed up by an alien ship on a dark city street. As the track builds, wobbling basslines, echoes, and scorching white noise cascade into a perfect blend of dance floor bliss.

Just when you think you know what you're in for, the switch up hits hard and fast, catching even the most seasoned dance floor veteran off guard. Unpredictable high-hats and low-end oscillations will send you into a tizzy of irresistible booty shaking before the beat drops out and the reverbed vocals leave you yearning for more. Before you know it, the track is building again into a stomper.

'The Chord March' falls in line next. A slow-building groove draws you in then changes up around the one minute mark, only to build you up again before bringing in a symphony of sounds. A rthymic delight that's perfectly seasoned with a tasteful 'uh' sample results in a tune that's as fun as it is irresistibly catchy. This one is perfect for afterhours dance floors.

These two are a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor and you can expect to have your brain frequently rattled by Billy Kenny and Abby Jane in 2015!

The fair city of San Diego has something special brewing. The three-headed production team of Crush Effect's producer/keyboardist David Vieth, saxophonist/producer Jesse Molloy, and drummer Los Perez has joined forces with Vokab Kompany's MCs Rob Hurt and Burkey Baby to create some sort of SoCal goliath, capable of crushing souls in a single bound. Their latest monster joint is "Loud Enough," which features some heavy dubstep drops and whip-smart rapping. Not only is this collab a really smart tune, it's got some forward-thinking productions going on in the background. Not that they're overlooked. Quite the contrary, in between verses, the bass comes out to play. Keep your eyes wide open--don't sleep on these San Diego heavy-hitters.

Will Clarke mans the controls: Making his Dirtybird debut in January with "Badness" on DIRTYBIRD 10, follwing up with "The Boogie Woogie" EP and lazer-snapping "808Frenzy" on "DIRTYBIRD BBQ - Grill$ons Revenge" collection, the bristly Bristol-based spandex enthusiast has enjoyed a beautiful summer with releases on Defected, Emerald City and Turbo and unforgettable shows across the US, Australia and Europe.

Returning to the label with the bulbous two-track EP "Turn It Up," Clarke does just that: Writhing in carnal groove simplicity, he taps into the roots of timeless, low-down, butt-wriggling house music with three obscene examples of strong-armed tech funk. "Can You Funk" punches with Breach-level hookiness, and Turn It Up does the loopy-loop with Dirtybirds trademark vocal trippiness.

IÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢m always trying to find some big new records at the end of the year so I can go play something fresh, so IÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢d like to present the DIRTYBRD New Years Special. 

Here are seven new bangers for your holiday DJ sets. The tracks are all new & most of them are by new talents on the label. Fresh faces include veteran German producer David Keno, an all new act called Jaded, Sirus Hood from Paris, My Cat Snoop, Mikey V, Wood Holly & Sage Armstrong.  Of course we have a few guys who have been on the label before, Ardalan, Genghis Clan, and Nick Olivetti.

We've wanted to do a cover of an older song for a while. Nothing was really coming to us until last Friday when we were a few drinks deep and ended up at a Thai karaoke restaurant at 3AM. This young Thai man was doing an electric guitar cover of “Cocaine" by Eric Clapton, but he wasn’t singing, so we jumped on stage and sang along with him. It must have been in the haze of vodka and pad kee mao that we decided we should cover it as well.

Ahh, the joys of Summer. Something about this season puts a smile on our face. Could be the sun, could be the Summer break, but most of all we love it because it’s BBQ season. Dirtybird started with a grill and some speakers in the park, and while we’ve passed a decade of park parties, we’ve reached the third installment of our yearly BBQ compilation, “Secret Sauce'.

BBQ’s are all about coming together, so we’ve added some unique artist collaborations, along with several up and coming artists we’ve welcomed to the family. Doorly &amp; Marshall Jefferson, Shiba San &amp; Will Clarke, Billy Kenny &amp; Maximono, Christian Martin &amp; Ardalan, and Justin Jay &amp; Sacha Robotti all team up for the first time, and we welcome back Bruno Furlan and Sirus Hood, who each turn in their own stand-out tracks that have been on heavy rotation.
