Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL - Twelve Bullets (Deadpool OST)

This is a drum clip recorded with Blue Microphone's "Yeti" USB mic.  The mic was placed about four feet in front of the kit and about four feet off ground.  The gain knob was set at about 7 o'clock while using the stereo pattern setting.  It has some compression from Garage Band but no additional EQ.

Cross Dance Mix (2,5 hours) - February 2019 Edition

In response to Paolo Di Nicolantonio's post, in which he said, of his Jupiter-8 song 'Osaka' "I challenge the Generation-Yers to replicate this Italo-Dance / Synth-Pop stuff - of which we all know the JP-8 is king of - with any soft synth"
Here is my response - His original composition is on the left channel. My Jupiter 8V version is mono-mixed on the right channel. This track is created for comparison purposes and it is expected you listen on headphones to properly separate each side. Keep in mind the quality is somewhat limited largely due to the Youtube sound source provided by Paolo, which I copied to some extent ;)
Soft synths used are OP-X Pro (arp), Kontakt (Linndrum samples), FM8 (For the DX7 Koto sound) and Jupiter 8V.
Only reverb and chorus are used for enhancement, with the exception of a compressor on the drums and Cubases own bit-crusher plugin on FM8. A limiter is used purely to stop the drums from clipping the track - there is no dB boost and I tried to match the levels of the 2 tracks.There are just THREE EQ adjustments for the entire track. The Brass stab was boosted 8dB at 3200Hz, The DX Koto sound was boosted 4dB at 1100 and 1700Hz, and finally the top end of the Synth Arp was rolled off -12dB at 12,000Hz. NO OTHER EQ.
This post is not to show there aren't differences, but simply to show just how small the differences are WITH NEXT TO NO EFFORT. I dare say somebody with more talent in copying sounds could get even closer with just the VST synths alone.
