“Serenity” definition: the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled.

With an aggressive vocal delivery over the mellow soul beat; this song outlines two different versions of an individual trying to build a positive world view despite the negative experiences in his life. In the first verse, the artist revisits his life as a young man. You hear the frustration in the description of what life was like, and the experiences that shaped how he viewed the world. Throughout the progression of the story, the second verse then speaks from a more mature perspective of life and how these experiences can be empowering lessons of personal growth, if you chose to view it as such. In writing this song, I wanted to explore how you can present the polarising contrast of an individual to show that a person can have more than one image and side to them.
