In honor of Autism Awareness Month, I present to you this song.

I have mild autism. While I'm sure most of you probably know what behaviors are common with those who have it, I'll tell you what I'm pretty much like with it. Say that I'm just thinking about something, and I'm focused on that particular thought. When someone says something to me, then my thoughts focus on whatever that person said. I can't deny that I also tend to put my hands together. Sometimes, I will go into detail about something that I like, whether it be trains, planes, trucks, or any other thing, but I usually stop or try not to get too technical. I usually prefer to use "you" rather than "u," and other full spellings of certain words. Finally, I don't expect to always come out in 1st place in any competition I take part in.

And that's just how I am. If you're someone who also has autism, remember this: Don't let the fact that you're "different" make you feel down. Instead, embrace the fact that you are unique in your own way.
