Frequent collaborators Robin Schellenberg & Rauschhaus present the ‘I Am Not My Ego’ EP on When We Dip XYZ. On this two-tracker, the seasoned producers serve a masterclass in melodic techno, fusing creative transitions and ambiguous emotions into a dark ambience. 

The title track, ‘I Am Not My Ego’, begins its pace with ominous bass stabs and a nimbling arp. An hypnotizing synth line then adds to the track's daunting vibe, as sighing ad-libs release the ever-building tension. 

On ‘Rise Of Thoughts’, the dynamic groove goes back and forth with its assorted counter-melodies. The hopeful progression of the breakdown leads into a stripped-back drop topped-off by industrial textures and effects.

Here’s a mega collaboration for the latest TAU release - Label heads Adana Twins team up with one of TAU’s core family members, Upercent for the Falling EP. Over the last few years Upercent has brought his distinct sound to the label, contributing to the discography with several solo EPs and singles. A formidable producer with a unique sonic identity, his link up with Adana Twins marks a big step for the label and Upercent himself. This two-track release is full of future-retro flavour, epitomising TAU’s highly influential sound and demonstrating the power of collaboration…

The title track opens the release, with an undulating bassline supporting sturdy beats with that familiar TAU swing. A wistful male vocal gives the track its emotive appeal, flowing beautifully over the low end. Together Upercent and Adana Twins build out a compelling cut, with dramatic effects complementing the vocals and layers of percussion adding energy and drive to this enchanting  composition. 

On the flip it’s ‘Move’, which has a little more urgency than ‘Falling’, rolling out with a higher velocity and kick drums that have more power. More heartfelt vocals underpin the mood of this track, with romantic lyrics. This is an all out dance floor-oriented cut which will have maximum impact around peak time. Captivating vocals, hefty beats and a range of bright, engaging synth lines and melodies combine to create an energising
track.

So, there it is, Adana Twins and Upercent, a dream team combination giving us a clear demonstration of what the TAU sound is all about…

Release Info: 
Hugely influential electronic innovator Sasha has been at the heart of the underground almost since it began. He has done it all, from legendary residencies and seminal mix CDs to GRAMMY Award-nominated productions, but never stops pushing forward either with his dexterous and high-tech DJ sets or innovative productions. He had a big 2023 that featured a collaboration with Because of Art and a new single, 'Works Vagon,' and now backs that up once more with this latest outing.

The superb 'Fleuron Drift' is a typically epic sonic journey with meticulous synth craft that is ever-evolving. Lead lines dance, and background chords add soul as the hypnotic drums lead towards a spell-binding and signature breakdown that will get hands in the air before the chords swirl and circle around the groove like birds on a warm vector.

London-based Theo Kottis has established himself as one of the UK's most versatile DJs and producers on labels like Dekmantel and Permanent Vacation. His superb remix brings more energy and snappier, tech-leaning drums with glitchy synth textures, making it more suited to sweatier dance floor moments.

Kassian is a London production duo who have released on cult labels like Heist and Phonica. Their version is quicker, with clipped drums bringing the funk under molten chords and rising synth tension that is designed to lift crowds off their feet and into another realm of electronic pleasure.

Secret Feelings opens the month of April with a new single from label boss JFR. Hailing from Argentina but currently calling Spain home, Juan Franco Rivero aka JFR has carved out a unique sonic identity in the world of progressive and organic house, resulting in a string of uniquely crafted records that present a resonant worldly sound. Enjoying a steady rise since emerging 2017, it was 2021 which proved to be a breakout year for JFR, as the Argentine continued his upward trajectory with a standout release for UK behemoth Anjunadeep; a project which would lead to offerings via Clubsonica and Musique de Lune across the next calendar year, and in turn garnering support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sebastian Leger. 2023 would also bring newfound success for JFR, launching his Secret Feelings imprint in September with 'Anatonic', before ending the year with the critically acclaimed five-track showcase '21 Angels'. With January's 'The Last Queen' and February's 'Gocru' landing as JFR's first projects of 2024, the Barcelona resident continues to build his Secret Feeling imprint with a new single entitled 'Morning Feelings', alongside remixes from Mayro, Mauro Augugliaro and Gux Jimenez.

Back on Stil vor Talent after contributing a banging remix to Oliver Koletzki and Fritz Kalbrenner's 'Heart on Hold' a few months ago, Bulgarian producer Pavel Petrov turns in his debut solo transmission for us, 'Parallel'. Comprised of two cuts that give full vent to his epic-sized vision and monumental buildups, Petrov's newest bridges the gap between frontal sonic assault and a sensorially effervescing sound design. As cascades of pumped up Italo arpeggios and languid pads mingle in a cosmic symphony of sorts, 'Parallel' opens up a portal to some unknown clubbing dimension, where a brooding, near-dystopian atmosphere crosses swords with hypermodern EBM brutalism and grime-informed vox sampling. A further straightforward, acid-oriented roller, the second track 'C0smica' has us nodding our heads to a crisp deluge of liquid bass and neon-splattered electro vibrancy, ready to take on any dance floor with its inch-perfect combo of retro-laced imagery and sci-fi-indebted kinetics. True to his poised and ambitious DJ-friendly approach, Petrov delivers a duo of fearless club heaters that'll leave wisps of vapour in their wake.
