Premiere: Mastercris & Pete Tha Zouk - In The Afternoon [Eastern Standard]

Immersing yourself in the captivating rhythms of "One Day in Muscat," Arina Mur takes you on a sensual journey through the exotic world of Oman. Her track is infused with a warm, Eastern spirit, smooth melodies, and an enchanting vocal delivery, creating a unique atmosphere of a desert city by the sea. The DSF remix adds even more depth and minimalism to the composition, blending organic elements with Afro House sounds. The natural motifs of Oman intertwine with delicate percussion and soft basslines, evoking the feeling of an evening in Muscat, as the sun slowly sets and the air fills with the warm melody of the night.

‘Yekaye’ is a surprisingly vibrant offering. Fully framed into the Afro house landscape and with strong Amapiano roots, the track showcases Kroyan’s imaginative and eclectic artistry, able to channel everything from tribal grooves to ethereal vocal samples. The goal is always the same: building a listening experience that’s cathartic and memorable, something that might even aid some introspection. 

‘Yekaye’ is the perfect match for such a strong ethos. Guided by Edgar Kroyan’s expert hands, the record wraps the listeners into a series of hazy and dreamy melodies, with a certain hypnotising flair, we’d say. Layering percussions and synth arpeggios, the Armenia-based producer builds a sonic outlook that’s timeless and heavenly-sounding. Yet, it’s also elegant and luscious, an approachable and welcome slice of modern electronica. 

Speaking about his artistry, Kroyan explains: “This is the beginning of a series of compositions that I am preparing in the coming months. I work every day and I believe that it is necessary to experiment in music and that music has no boundaries.”

Although it’s been a year to forget for most of the electronic music scene, we’re happy to say that Nōpi has come through the tumultuous times stronger than ever. He began the year making his debut with us on the inaugural Blanche project, seizing the spotlight with an XYZ instant classic - Mayaya. Since then, he’s graced the likes of TRYBESof, Anjunadeep, and Kindisch, establishing himself at the core of the deep and melodic community.

As a final nod to his defining year thus far, we’re thrilled to have the Ukranianian back on the label to close the circle on 2020. Landscape Cloud is a project we’ve been looking forward to for many months, harnessing the tones that we’ve come to love from Nōpi.

On the A-side, he’s connected with Indian vocalist Shrii for a true beauty. Smooth percussion and deep pads set the stage for sumptuous and powerful vocals, kicking into gear with middle eastern instrumentals. Ominous yet uplifting; epic dancefloor moments are in store with Landscape Cloud at the helm.
