Following up their well received debut single ‘Almost Home’, Hoki step up the tempo with their second release - ‘Some Kind of Beautiful’.  The Montreal-based duo display their ability to unite the world of electronic and indie influences, fusing an emotional ballad with a dark and driving groove, primed to ignite dance floors. Vocalist Brent McCormick opens the track with a haunting melody, which launches into producer Varti Deuchoghlian’s driving bass line. The two collide perfectly as it settles into a slick house groove, making ‘Some Kind of Beautiful’ a true contender.

Facundo Mohrr is a name very familiar to those following the deep and melodic house scene. The Argentinian producer is amongst the All Day I Dream elite, with a knack for progressive melodies and melancholic tinges to his signature groovy productions. Facundo has taken the edge off Hoki’s dark original, bringing the track into summer festival territory with a beautiful melodic remix. He’s lengthened the arrangement, placing emphasis on Brent’s seductive vocals while adding a proper build and kick for dance floor hysteria.

Siyuder is the new project created by three artists: Jose Maria Ramon , William Medagli and Thallulah. William and Thallulah, both producers from Italy, come in contact with Jose Maria Ramon, well known for his radio shows on Ibiza Global Radio, and they immediately connect through their love for music. Discovering they have the same taste in sounds they decide to work together on both remixes and original tracks for major labels from the underground music industry.
They have many projects to come as their musical horizons are expanding more and more.
The experience and balearic influences of Jose Maria Ramon, William's talent and Thallulah's imagination is the perfect blend for the fine creations, highly recommended for the crazy moments of the night!

Rachael Starr gave Dave a demo copy of this song in 2003. Dave immediately loved it but didn't really think Josh was going to so he never played it for him. But then one day almost two years later, Dave got up the balls to play it for Josh and, lo and behold, he loved it. So, in 2005 Gabriel & Dresden did a remix for this song which helped get it signed to Positiva Records as well as Ultra Music. 

One of our best-loved remixes to this day.

After seeing a wonderful amount of positive feedback and supports for their original release last year here on Cities, we are pleased to welcome back Makaseo & Jessika Dawn's amazing single 'Rainfall', this time in the form of two very unique and diverse remixes from label legends Jallen and Bedroom Logic.

Welcoming him back for the first time this year here at Emergent Music, Jallen makes his signature progressive mark on this stunning original, pushing a flavorful hint of tech driven edge, mixed with deep layers of warm basslines, quirky fx, and ambient atmos that make this rendition a truly deep progressive lick from start to finish. Bedroom Logic, who is by far one of our most promising acts here at Cities, delivers his signature style to his remix in full force. Pushing floor-filling layers of ripping basslines, electric progressions, well placed vocal cuts and a full on peak hour performance that takes the energy of the original and adds a healthy dash of high octane power behind it, this remix is without a doubt an even higher step up in the aggressive progressive department in comparison to the more evenly balanced energy of the original.
