Matthias Meyer - When We Dip 98

Welcome to my musical escapade.

Born in El Paso, raised in between the border area to then grow up a bit and move to Monterrey Mexico.
         Monterrey allowed me to discover the dance music scene at a young age. Fascinated by the music and the scene I moved back to the border area ; thats where my music taste and mixing skills just kept growing, evolving between different genres. 
         
        Then BPM festival came up, after attending 3 years, my ears just kept learning and learning from acts like Apollonia, Vatos Locos, Visionquest, Stereo, El Row, Tini Could Be Worse, All Day I Dream, Yoshitoshi, Ovum, Drumcode, Trust, Visionquest, Paradise, Circoloco, Moon Harbour, Keinemusik, Enter, Suara, Desert Hearts, Desolat, Defected, Abracadrabra, Sol Selectas, Do not sit, Innervisions, among a long list of artists and record labels.

      After BPM ended abruptly and violently,  everything moved to Tulum. There, my musical odissey continued evolving by attending Blondish's Abracadabra both on 2019 and 2020. Also was lucky enough to catch Sabo and Goldcap with their Sol Selectas showcase which completely changed my musical pov. 
       Covid made it hard the last year to connect with artists but still managed to hear and dance to Áme's Innnervisions morning set, another magical experience thanks to The People (label based in Monterrey Mexico). . 

Checking Elrow Chicago off my bucketlist has definitely marked a before and after on my music taste which is reflected directly on my mixes. These type of high end events allows me to keep expanding my mixing skills while learning from the best and most modern artists in the world and all these while having fun.

Another great experience crossed off my bucket list in 2024 was Transmoderna at the Brooklyn Mirage with most of the Innervisions crew ; Music and visuals completely a head of its time and just out of this world.  Impossible to not keep growing musically and continue to support all these amazing acts.
