Sydney   based   producer    @Sondrio    has   had   an   incredible   year.   After   launching   his   new   label Romantics,   he's   seen over   the   release   of   three   Night   Music   EPs and has 3  remixes  coming soon   on   Australian   labels   Astrx,   Double-Up   Records   and   Of   Leisure.

Sondrio’s   relationship   with    @Ciaorecs    began   when  label   head    Crookers    supported   N.E.G.R.O.N.I in   his   sets.   From   there   they   began   exchanging   tracks   and  'Versey'   was   signed   onto   the   label.

In Sondrio's own words...

‘Versey   started   life   as   a   hip   hop   beat   written   at   the   end   of   sessions   for   Night   Music   III.   I   free played   some   Rhodes   in   and   then   reversed   it   which   set   the   tone   for   the   track.   The   next morning   I   decided   to   take   the   main   sounds   from   the   beat   and   essentially   remix   it   into   a   club record.   Phra’s   guidance   for   Ciao   was   to   break   out   of   the   house   paradigm   and   do   something different.   I   took   that   attitude   into   this   record   and   couldn’t   be   happier.'

The   EP   includes   a   remix   by    @BlackLoops ,   arguably   one   of   the   hottest   names   in   house through   his   releases   on   Toy   Tonics   and   Gruuv.   His   remix   transforms    Versey    into   a   jackin’ house   burner,   which we reckon will be ripping up dancefloors across the world.

'Rex' is a peak-time track offering tougher beats and bass but still maintaining the warm and deep essence that flows through the whole EP. Spoken vocals carry the track through along with haunting strings,  taking the track on 6 minute voyage through deep house music.

'Church Road' offers a journey into melody deep house complimented by warm synth and driving bass, with a nod to the earlier Chicago sound. Perfect for either warm-up or peak time sets.

Premiere: Cosmonection - Lost Between Those Two [Pont Neuf Records]

Almost the end, we know, but dry your tears, we’re not there yet, no, no. Harrison BDB aka Harry Weber is here with us for the last stretch and a final sonic hug - one to remember -. Harrison’s immersive approach to deep house has earned the man his credit, solidly grounded in the finest and deepest selections. The kind of selection, in fact, that’d make anyone want that record again. Mind you, this is probably what this last track “Going Back” is telling to do. Ready? Flip!

The Neovinyl boys ready the 84th record in their catalog with another artist EP from Carlo, one of the label co-founders. He’s been on the rise lately, releasing fantastic projects and singles via SUOL, Laggafe Tales, Organic Downbeat, and most recently, Beste Modus. 

Carlo's turned up the energy on this EP, and the three soulful house cuts are a welcome change of pace from his other, more relaxed projects. Once again, impeccable sampling and drum programming shine through on each track, and fans of Carlo’s music will be pleased to hear his signature Berlin influenced sound on each of the EP’s tracks. 

Happiness pervades the entirety of “Little Talks,” and it’s obvious that newfound fatherhood looks good on Carlo. Track one sees him working again with collaborator Nikoss, who’s piano work sits perfectly within a jackin’ tune full of funk bass, deep pads, and swirling strings. Carlo finds the perfect loop on track two, filtering it in and out to highlight a soulful vocal that rips over dusty, organic percussion. The project’s closer is a transportive affair through vintage jazz sounds. It’s a deeper, quirkier affair that seems to be perfect closing track for another standout effort from, Carlo.
