DGTL Records marks its fifth anniversary in style with ‘5YRS of DGTL Records’. The 14-track long player is released on April 16th as a 4x 12” vinyl set and drops digitally across 4 separate EP releases between February 18 and April 1, of which the first one features Mano Le Tough, Jimi Jules, Coloray and Tjade.
 
5YRS of DGTL Records is a perfect reflection of not just of the label itself but also its global event patron: headliners sitting equally alongside local talent and up-and-coming acts. Over the past five years, DGTL Records has grown into its own as a fully-fledged musical arm of the overall DGTL musical experience.

Mano Le Tough opens the release with the serene and heartfelt ‘Either 
Way’. He layers lighthearted guitar tabs, mesmerizing vocals and springy synths on each other to create a sublime affair that makes you reminisce and smile about the good things in life. Jimi Jules follows with ‘Anna Bolika’, a hypnotic and progressive track. It draws you in with constant chord progressions and mesmerizing sound 
design. Vocals are echoed cautiously to add to its ominous and eerie 
atmosphere. 

‘Polarity’ is Coloray's addition to the release. It features warm and granular synths, leaning towards the 8 bit retro synthwave sound, while rolling out a breakbeat drum pattern and heavy hitting kicks, with which he keeps the piece energetic and with a driving force throughout. Closing this first of four EP’s, Tjade presents ‘De Halve Maan’, a powerful tune for big rooms and big energy. Analogue synths, progressive bass lines and layers of melodic keys create a sense of revival and resurgence, with a hint of trance.

'Netherlands-based DJ and producer Tarik makes his debut release with his latest single ‘For All The Right Reasons’ through Another Rhythm. Already praised by British duo Icarus, who featured some of his previous works on Anjunadeep, the young producer is already starting to turn heads and for all the right reasons. His latest record ‘For All The Right Reasons’ sees Tarik craft a warm, up-tempo house track blending sonic elements of house, soul and worldly soundscapes. ‘For All The Right Reasons’ takes listeners on a spiritual musical journey with its hypnotic synth pads and house-leaning drum and percussion grooves. The contrast of delicate-sounding arpeggiated bells together with deep rumbling basslines and looped vocal chants creates an enchanting record that serves to maske listeners feel free and alive. This new single showcases Tarik’s production and sound design prowess, an exciting young producer with a bright future.
    
With only two other singles in his catalogue, Tarik is already making waves in the dance music scene with his debut house-inspired single ‘Samen’ being supported by dance heavyweights Anjunadeep. In such a short span, Tarik has amassed over 5,000 followers on Soundcloud with ‘Samen’ clocking in at 11,000+ plays.

Speaking on the new single Tarik describes that:
“All The Right Reasons is pretty much an experiment for me: the first version of the song is about 2 years old now. I tried remaking it one time before but that didn't work out. Then I tried it again and here we are! I redid everything from the drums to the harmonics a couple of times throughout the process while keeping the layout of the song the same, leading to what it is now.”'
