Creating Constellations EP [EDGE]

Presenting their first release of the year, Belgium’s EDGE welcomes Dowden to the label for his debut EP. Praised for his DJ and production skills in equal measure, Canadian artist Dowden presents a deep, yet charging energy, full of atmosphere and colour, ranging from gritty progressive nuance, to enchanting deep house hymns, all with a subtle tone of darkness and mystery. Long regarded as one of Canada’s finest electronic music exports, the Toronto resident has taken his far-reaching sound to trendsetting imprints such as Clubsonica, Juicebox Music, Mango Alley, Meanwhile and John OO Fleming’s Joof Recordings, while earning continued support from genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Guy J and Hernan Cattaneo. In a year that has seen the Canadian artist operate at a creative peak, Dowden now adds EDGE to his resume with a much anticipated three-track showcase entitled ‘Creating Constellations’. 

EP opener and title selection ‘Creating Constellations’ is an apt barometer of where Dowden’s headspace is at, as he lets haunting overlays descend over warm voluptuous grooves, rolling rhythms and layers of flickering percussion. A sweeping sonic experience throughout, the Canadian’s exacting design and colourful creative vision is evidenced by a first act of meandering synth swagger and balmy harmonics, the latter of which provides a smooth bridge into the main break. Melting down slowly across the interlude, indistinct vocal fragments and hopeful pads emerge from a warm atmospheric glow, eventually reaching a gentle apex as bleepy chord stabs and temperate soundscapes provide a haunting finale. 

Dowden's capacity for storytelling resonates across the second selection 'Capricorn'. Shot in high-definition and full of detail and idiosyncrasies, it's a cerebral voyage where the Canadian flexes his freethinking muscles and lands comfortably in-between soundscape science and vanguard design. The inevitable zenith of this consciousness expanding excursion mounts with clustered motifs and hopeful melodies converging, achieving a warm inviting timbre over a bed of pulsating beats and fascinating percussion.

The collection’s closer ‘Agora’ finds Dowden achieving an understated yet confident club energy. Smooth rebounding rhythms and wavy basslines set the course for panoramic synth textures and calming atmospheres to work their magic. A prophetic shade is revealed across the main break, as drone-like textures and celestial sonics eventually give way to a tastefully restrained drop and groove-centric finale. 

As Dowden continues to navigate a landmark year, his EDGE debut ‘Creating Constellations’ is sure to unite progressive music fans with his undeniable blend of talent and technique.

#4 Traxsource Best Jackin House Artist of 2020
In May 2016 he release "Son of a Motherfunker", an huge ep containig pure smashing hits. The success of this album gaves to Jo Paciello the position n.2 in the Traxsources Top 100 Jakin House chart for over 3 weeks, with the homonym single "Son of a Motherfunker", who was include in the 2016 - Traxsoucers best song.
Jo Paciello was appointed as Traxsource #44th Best Jackin House Artist fo 2018. In this Year he collaborate with Enrico BSJ Ferrari founder of The Black Legend who released in the 90's the world hit "you see the trouble with me" - and both release Watching You for Juiced Music. The song, goes straight at the n.1 in the jackin house chart and was supported by many artists such as Joey Chicago, Dj Colette and Dj Randall Smooth, becoming for Traxsource the #18 best song of 2018.
Inspired by Daft Punk and Saint Germain, Jo Paciello try to consolidate his style, that he named Jazz House!
In 2019 he released 'Jack N.4' on Moonrocket Music, a #1 hit with jazzy piano and some truly tight drums.
'Swing It' on Monoside by Angelo Ferreri, 'It's All About House' for CRMS Records, and "I got house" on Shocking Sounds Records showcased his cutting edge signature style that has won him so many fans over the past twelve months.
On April 10th 2020 he released Jazz on Burbon Street for SJS Records. This track goes straight to the position no.1 in the Jackin House chart and was supported by House Legends such as Louie Vega, Kenny "DOPE" Gonzales and Saison among many other Djs, producers and artists.
On June he renew his success with the follow-up song "Mr. Church's Groove" another n.1 hits charted by Samuele Sartini, Soul Central and many others....He also takes the position n.2 with "St. Germain Jazz Cafè" on Shocking Sounds Records
On september 19th - 2020 he release his first sample pack "This is Jackin House Vol.1" and it goes straight in the Traxsource top 10 sounds, loops & samples chart.
On March 2021 he renew his succes with 3 hits, Funky love for Sjs records who reaches the position n. 5 in the top 10 jackin, Shine on Shocking sounds rec who reaches the position n. 2 and Sammy is Back on Fogbank rec. who takes the position n. 1.
He renewed the n. 1 position with "it's in your mind" on Juiced Music
Jo Paciello was appointed as Traxsource Best Jackin House Artist for 3 years in a row standig in the top 10.

'The twelfth batch of fruits from our fruit orchard have been picked, and are ready to taste.

The deep melodic sounds of French producer Quatri have a depth and uniqueness that is hard to quantify or draw comparisons against. His detailed and emotive production style, which made its foundations at imprints like Oleeva Records and Nie Wieder Schlafen, is quickly turning underground heads.

The title track "Vendet" sits firmly in Quatri's signature style. Surrounded by a crisp drum rack, atmospheres weave in and out, through flutes and influences from the World. The French live duo have been bubbling up for a while, so no surprise that their recent live stream has had 102K views to date and rising. Fundraising for Bye Bye Plastic, performed at a mysterious UNESCO site in France, the stream delivered spectacularly compelling material and a sincere yet effortlessly cool vibe.

Tim and Pierre met in high school in the French countryside, and fast became friends when they discovered their shared love for music. Their first ‘gig’ was at their end-of-school gala, and they have been playing together ever since at festivals and gigs worldwide. Labels include Flying Circus, Sol Selectas and ABRACADABRA.

This release package is a special one, as Kindisch gave their new signing carte blanche to choose their ideal remixers to complement their original and yet make it their own. Enter Maga and Carlita…

Title track ‘Wonderland’ is a compulsively catchy combo of skiffle-style percussion and a relentless plucked guitar riff. Chambord’s own vocal contribution adds a robotic hook.

Maga brings bongo drums to the fore, a humming bass riff sprinkled with tinkling icicles and a chopped-off vocal. He creates an ominous build, with some surprising strings. Carlita delivers a strong mix of deep, deep bass and percussion backed by melodic synth riffs, enriching the hypnotic quality of the vocal, and upping the tempo in the second half.
