Sergio Parrado and Jee Bear join forces again to bring us "La Humanidad" a track made on the occasion of Sergio's 25-year career and in which both artists express a global vision of the changes that are occurring in the world in the times that run.
 
The track is perfect for the summer. A rock beat, super chunky kick drum, and punchy bassline set the stage, while Sergio's written and sung lyrics inject even more insanity. We can't wait to see the damage this monstrous creation will cause on the dance floor!

Next up for The Gardens of Babylon, the super smooth sounds of Gab Rhome (@gabrhome) on the ‘I’ve Made The Bed For You’ EP ably supported by Francesca Lombardo (@francesca-lombardo), Baham (@bahamcollective) and Sorä (@sora-paris).

Canadian sensation Gab Rhone has come a long way since breaking onto the scene in 2013 with a release on Guy Gerber’s Supplemental Facts label. Starting out as a DJ in his hometown, it wasn’t long before his natural ability was recognised and he quickly progressed into the big leagues, with music now signed to everyone from Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream to Sasha’s Last Night On Earth.

Capturing those warm analogue feels with soft melody is a trademark for Gab, who unleashes more delight with opener ‘I’ve Made The Bed For You’. Groovy hats, a swinging bassline and sweet vocals make this a joy to hear from start to finish. On remix duties UK-based Francesca Lombardo deepens the groove for a late-night wig out, teasing the main motifs into a darker sound. Fellow Canadians, Baham, create a new atmosphere with their sparse, jazz-influenced take. Sombre muted trumpet and vocal word samples take this to new heights.

Moving on to their second original production, ‘Chandelier Cleaner, a disco-y bongo groove and saw-toothed bass lead the way. Vocodered vocals midway add a nice curveball for the more refined floors. Sora take a wholly different approach completely reimagining the track with tinkling arps and an air of hopefulness.

As the rhythm section unfolds subtly, mandatory spoken word passages create a commanding vibe. Usual suspects Natch! &amp; Dothen are in charge of the first remix and go for a more stomping approach with loopy riffs and discordant action, while mangling the vocals. The Arado version stirs things up with a sleazy bassline, subtle chords and an overall housier mood.</p>

Bedrock 18 compiled by John Digweed consists of 2 discs showcasing 21 exclusive tracks from some of Bedrocks favourite artists and some exciting new names on the labels roster, in a DJ-friendly unmixed format, along with a 3rd disc featuring the new artist album from chilled maestro C-Jay. The album will be launched at a special 18th birthday party on 19th November 2016 at Ministry Of Sound, London, where John Digweed will perform a very special extended set in the main room. Expect no less than a musical master class from the Bedrock boss here as he looks to take the crowd on a journey from start to finish. Bedrock 18 gives exhilarating new talent a voice through the melody infused, bottom-heavy club sound of Polish Manchester resident Sebastian Markiewicz; the deep and atmospheric aural landscapes of Brooklyn NYCs Sam Jaspersohn; Amaris melody-rich hypnotic beauty; and the distinctive emotive atmospherics of French newcomer Kontakt. Innovative experimentation flows freely through Darren Emersons foreboding beatless reprise of Fanfare, whilst Quivver presents two takes of unrivalled electronic research. The wide-ranging influences, and beautiful and unusual music of Brazilian duo Daniela Caldellas and Daniel Albinatis Digitaria project, is juxtaposed by Guy Js mind-bending 2026. All stick to the script that electronic music should have no boundaries and creativity and feelings are the only things that matter. Highly creative collaborations come from Budapests Márió Domján (a.k.a. Collective Machine) and Austrias Philipp Straub, alongside Gabriel Rocha and Juan Carlos Villalbas dynamic Tiefstone vehicle. D-Nox and Frank Beckers unfurl their distinctive sound steeped in detailed rhythms and mesmerizing harmonies, while a slice of tremendous hypnotic techno comes courtesy of Ryan Davis & Microtrauma. Bedrock stalwart Phil Thompson (under his Moonface moniker) brings his unique deeply delicious grooves to the party, grooving perfectly alongside the understated beauty of Greek musical maestro Stelios Vassiloudis, and the heavy hitting techno funk of the legend that is Dave Angel; whilst Marc Romboy unleashes his deeply twisted remix of Emerson, Digweed & Muirs huge Fanfare. Theres also a bounteous array of dynamic club tunes from the likes of Geneva-based man with the midas touch Lee Van Dowski (who also adds his remix talents to Eagles & Butterflies appropriately titled and rather large Murder Was The Bass), the firing percussive funk of CJ Jeff, and the acid tinged attitude of Spains Uner on display. A distinct bonus to the exceptional and diverse talent on display throughout Bedrock 18 is the inclusion of C-Jays chilled Echoes album as a wind-down final disc. C-Jays previous artist album Backslider was also released on Bedrock (back in April 2016) gaining much critical acclaim, and here he presents his next unique artistic step further forward. Its a really, really personal album - hence the album title I think that what one has done in the past, echoes throughout ones life. Whatever you do, brings you where you are now. It might be tagged as chillout or ambient music, but actually its not 100%% that, its just me being me, making something no one else does. C-Jay

Sasha’s collaborations with other artists are always driven by mutual respect and admiration for one another’s craft. His LNOE imprint is recognised as a platform to spotlight exciting fresh talent, and he has been supporting La Fleur since her debut on the label in 2015. After the Swedish producer remixed the acclaimed ‘Trigonometry’ for the label head last year along with playing the renowned Last Night On Earth boat party in Miami, fans have hoped further collaboration might be on the cards.

‘When I first approached Sasha to present some music for his label I couldn't have dreamt he would suggest a collab together!’ La Fleur says. ‘It was a great honour to say yes to the challenge. It has taken some time and a lot of drafts going back and forth to end up with this track together, when it just felt right.’

La Fleur’s career has blossomed exponentially over the last few months – from a game-changing back to back set with Cassy and B.Traits at Radio 1 Weekend, to standout sets at Bestival, Junction 2 and Melt Festival. Still on a high from delivering a flawless Essential Mix, she continues a summer of pivotal achievements including some exceptional releases, which continues with LNOE.

Whilst having two very different musical histories, these two artists are both trailblazers in their own right, constantly pushing forward and bringing the electronic music scene something fresh and exciting.

‘As the name of the EP suggests, our ‘connection’ (in Swedish, ‘Förbindelse,’) made us start and finish this project. We are very happy that we can now share this with you.’
